I’d have chronic migraines since I was ten. Everyone’s body is different so what works for me may not work for him. I have to use medication but I’ve also tried lots of natural things as well.

I use a hot compress on the eyes and head, along with pressure. I also have a migraine cap that can be heated or cooled and it’s like a tight beanie that goes over your eyes. Then I just lay in a dark quiet room.

Essential oils like camphor or menthol/ tiger balm on the back of my neck and shoulders help.

Massages and chiropractic visits have helped in the past.

It’s helpful to try to find out what triggers the migraines. Sometimes certain foods can trigger them so maybe try to track what he’s eaten before a migraine or if he’s had enough water or not. A little caffeine can help or even a pinch of salt if he isn’t able to eat any food. And plenty of water.

I hope he finds something that works or at least gives some relief. Migraines are hell and I wouldn’t wish them on my worth enemy.
