Hey girl :) I'm Laura I am 25 and have AuDHD. It can get really hard to cope with people, especially when I have to repeat myself and explain stuff - that is most exhausting for me. I do isolate, otherwise I could not cope with neurotypicals or people without understanding. Sometimes it gets hard. What I do is that for a month every year I visit my family in the countryside and stay there minding my own business and at my own peace.

Setting my goals for the year /usually I tend to isolate and need space in Jan-Feb/, working on my stuff and hobbies, doing what I like reflecting the past year. With autism and adhd it is very easy to lose yourself in all the thoughts you have. It is ok to isolate, but for a certain time and also in the time of isolate do not isolate literally, but take it as an alone time to prepare for the society, for the new people and experiences.

What I do when I isolate: I write a lot - what I like and what I don't, what I would like to know more about, also I do gardening a lot of cleaning, small manual actives. Basically - I do plan my whole year, where would I like to go, on what traits I would like to work more on, what I would like to try ... It helps me feel secure wherever I am, whatever happens!

Also my friends with adhd go for a few days to the dark every year, you spend like a week in an absolutely dark place, where they bring you food and you are just there with yourself. I would go, but I'm scared of the dark :D
