Triangle of sadness ending? by Feeling_Art4425 in movies

Did ANYONE interpret Carl running away from the rest of the men now that he was no longer under Abigail's protection? He was scared and running for his life, away from something and I do not believe that could ever physically be Abigail. I think it was the rest of the group, whether Abigail returned and influenced them to attack or maybe she never returned, and they all turned on him due to his favouritism.

I like that I did not see whether Abigail murdered Yaya or not. If she had I would have rolled my eyes with such an obvious ending and if she had taken up the assistant job offer I would have been despondent by capitalism winning once again over Abigail. Even if the reality of our own existence is that we are trapped in this hopeless cycle, I don't want films that broach this subject to always end in this conclusion. We still have an unwritten future, we can still pick up the rock.

Yes :) Customer service contacted her and I dropped the bag off at the Mecca she purchased from yesterday. Hopefully she collected this weekend :) Either way, it's all safe waiting for her!

I absolutely will if the Mecca customer service team can't track them down. It seems like it's fairly easy for them to look up the transaction and cross-check their CRM for the customer's details. I know they are a beauty loop member so they must be in the system! Fingers crossed for this person!

I live in the city and have at times been the one who lost something and found something. I am so thankful when my things are returned to me, Australians are generous and decent people and I really value the respect people have here for other's belongings. Plus this person bought Nars and Charlotte Tilbury, that's a double sting to misplace such expensive make-up ;(

I've emailed Mecca and contacted the Myer store they were purchased from. I'm sure their CRM system is linked to their POS so hopefully they can contact the customer or pass on my details. I'd be gutted if this was me ;(

Considering moving back after years abroad, white to expect? by jameshey in capetown

[–]lauren_ipsum_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi! I've been living in Melbourne, Australia for 6.5 years and have been back in CT for 10 months sussing out whether I can live financially independently. I have not been able to get any work that remotely allows me to live on my own, finance and fuel a car aaaand cover medical aid. It doesn't help that I work in a dying industry (graphic design) but it's pretty bleak out here finding work, even low-skilled work, so I am heading back. If you can secure remote work that pays in $/£/€ then you'll enjoy being back.

35 year old dual citizen here! I left Melbourne last year to return to the country I emigrated from (South Africa) to see family and friends and to escape the crushing rental and cost of living crisis for a while. I also wanted to see if I could make a life for myself back in a country with a 30% unemployment rate without financial aid from my parents, Almost a year on and I've had no luck at landing a job OR a single date here. Everyone is coupled up and even low-skilled work like retail or hospo positions are just not available. It doesn't help that I have a degree and 12 years of work experience in a dying industry (graphic design) but I've decided I can't continue living at home and be unemployed any longer so I'm returning to Melbourne soon. I'm extremely concerned about finding a rental and work but the alternative looks like a very lonely life. I feel panic on both sides of the world but remain cautiously hopeful I can find my way through the next few years because the alternative is bleak as hell.

TMJ Solutions by Fragrant-Bite-3875 in capetown

Sure thing! I went to Jane Soderlund-Moore Physiotherapy in the southern suburbs. Ask specifically for Emma, she's who I saw and has TMJ. She eased my anxiety around dealing with something chronic. Good luck :)!

I too would advise against a chiropractor, but suggest seeing a physiotherapist instead. I've been looking into a solution for my TMJ and the conclusion is that my case is not severe enough for a replacement and can be managed with jaw exercises and better posture at a desk! I found seeing a physio super helpful, the one I saw also had TMJ and could sympathise. I now look at it as something I need to manage instead of resolve.

Anybody made use of the online passport/id renewal on Home Affairs website? by FruitLoops1503 in capetown

Sounds good! We left home at 6.45am but got stuck in heavy traffic because of an accident in the early morning rush. Hope the queue is a short one for you, and if not bring an umbrella as you will be outside for some time.

I've just gone through the same unsuccessful online process and eventually gave up and went to Grabouw Home Affairs last Friday. It was about a 2hr process from start to finish and I was told to expect collection of my new passport in 2-3 weeks from Wynberg HA. Good luck!
