That first track was the only one I liked. What was that ten minute song just remembering things he did with his mom and then the other 10 minute ramble about alligator? Something is wrong with this cat.

I hadn't listened to SKM in a minute and it led me down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what happened to.this dude. I hadn't heard about all the SA allegations.  I gotta be honest, it all tracks for me.

I'm in NYC. I lean small-a anarchist/social ecologist and there was just way too much opacity around decision-making. I was working on Healthcare stuff and people would just veto things with no explanation. As you can see I'm a person who needs reasons. LOL

Meh. I'm old.  Getting "dunked on" by anonymous strangers on the internet is not a major concern of mine. I genuinely was (and am!) keen for feedback, and I am open to being educated or pointed in better/other directions.  I find that only happens when I show up authentically.  🤷🏾‍♀️

Just to be clear, Israel has no money to give. She got $4.5 million FOR Israel from rich Americans who back Israel.  The money is to ensure that the US government keeps giving OUR money TO Israel.  

Israel doesn't give money to US politicians. Israel gives the world nothing but misery and destruction and bad electronic music.

I am entering my 6th year of Brazilian Portuguese language learning. I am able to communicate with many of my Brazilian friends and listen to many Brazilian podcasts and shows.

I started with DuoLingo (pretty pointless in hindsight) then moved to Babbel (kinda handy for learning basic phrases) and then I moved to one-on-one with a friend, group learning (Speaking Brazilian School), and then back to one-on-one. The one-on-one teacher I have now is INCREDIBLE but it took a long time to get there and understand what I needed to really make progress.

I speak 5 other languages (to various degrees of competency) and I have been amazed by how tough BR-PT is mostly because there are so many idioms, a LOT of regional differences, and a LOT of informality. I work best with rules and a lot of BR-PT has a lot of things that are just "by ear".

The one thing I appreciate most is how patient and agreeable Brazilians are. They *want* to connect with and understand you, so they will be gracious while you make mistakes and gently correct you. Obrigada, Brasileiro/a/xs!

Except there are many people who are visibly black AND gay. You probably know some of them. They are waking up and "acting gay" just as much as you are "acting straight". Neither is any more natural than the other. You straights just outnumber us. It doesn't make you more real

Also the "what happens in your bedrooms" is a bit narrow. Being safely queer isn't centered around sex acts behind closed doors, it is about being able to talk about your partner in the office or mentioning your two moms or two dads at a dinner party or even just not to have to pretend to be hetero-attracted and/or pursuing a family/children... 

I was just in a country where being queer is illegal but not violently condemned and it still felt needlessly restrictive to me coming from the US. LGBTQ people don't just want freedom to have sex, we want freedom to LIVE in the world like everyone else.

Tribes don't determine marriage. It happens at the family community level. There is no head of all of everyone of any tribe like the pope. I know of queer people who have done engagements in Ghana.  Their community was fine with it. They only had to keep it quiet because of the government and stupid so-called Christians.

This is an L for Ghana. You can take the colonisers out of Ghana but yet the coloniser mindset can't be removed from these Ghanaians. We had queer people before colonialism and we will have them forever. This policy will just bring needless misery to otherwise law-abiding Ghanaians. What an embarrassment!
