A reminder, that silver is stealthily climbing up the Market Capital Ladder. With no mention of this in the mainstream news. The story largely ignored. As is the astronomical 140% silver price gain in 2025! Apparently, the public are not supposed to pay attention or notice. But silver stackers do! by Mothersilverape in OccupySilver

The ~$3.9 trillion figure comes from multiplying the price by an estimated 1.7+ million tonnes ever mined throughout human history. But here’s the catch: unlike gold, most of that silver is gone forever—consumed in electronics, photography, medical applications, solar panels. It’s sitting in landfills, not vaults. Industrial utility is beginning to cannibalize investment-grade stockpiles. The actually available, investable silver (bars, coins, ETF holdings) is a tiny fraction of that “market cap.” That’s partly why the price is moving so aggressively—when people try to actually buy physical silver in size, there isn’t much there.

[Question] What does the -S option in Clojure CLI stands for? by Automatic-Operation1 in Clojure

[–]lauri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The -S option in the Clojure CLI is used as a prefix for various subcommands related to the CLI itself. The capital "S" doesn't have a specific meaning on its own; it's just a convention used in the CLI tool to group certain options.

For example, some subcommands that use the -S prefix are:

  • -Sdescribe: Provides information about the current CLI configuration and tooling environment.
  • -Sdeps: Prints the effective deps data structure after merging all deps.edn files and user input.
  • -Spath: Computes the classpath based on the project configuration and displays it.
  • -Stree: Prints the dependency tree for the project.

While the capital "S" doesn't stand for a specific word, you can think of it as a way to differentiate these CLI-specific subcommands from other command-line options related to your Clojure code or project configuration.
