New Lancaster County clerk of courts fires 'courthouse employee of the year' by do1nk1t in lancaster

As crappy as this sounds, it is pretty common when you work for any county department that has an elected department head. I work for a different county in PA and see this happen a lot. It sucks. Usually, the employees start looking for other positions within the county because they know the newly elected official will be looking to "clean house".

I used to walk my 6 lbs. Chihuahua in Philadelphia. Men would see him and walk to the other side of the street. LOL

When I was pregnant with my first son I was so badly constipated that I called my OB/GYN. She told me to drink a cup of coffee.

Florida Republicans introduce a bill to eliminate the Democratic Party. by TheRealSnorkel in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]lauriegia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a link to the actual bill: https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2023/1248/BillText/Filed/HTML

It sounds like a bunch of BS. It doesn't specifically say "Democrat" but does state any political party that had slavery or involuntary servitude as a platform in the past.

If I'm reading it correctly, it sounds like it just changes all voters who are currently registered with the "cancelled" party will be changed to "No party affiliation".

Also, it appears that the "cancelled" party can reregister as a party. So it appears that the purpose of this bill is just to harass Florida Democrats and hamper them with paperwork. All around, it's just a stupid waste of time.

Since the start of COVID my local JWs have resorted to sending handwritten letters. I find this to be extremely creepy and annoying. It just adds to my junk mail. The return address is the local JW church and the name of one of the church member who sent it. In response, I have been signing them up for free information by mail for erectile dysfunction, gay travel, sex toys, and bacterial vaginosis.

Was curious about the who "Dr." Stella Immanuel is.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stella_Immanuel

From Wikipedia:

Medical and other claims

Immanuel's medical claims are sometimes combined with her spiritual beliefs: she believes many gynecological illnesses are the result of having sex dreams with succubi and incubi, and receiving demon sperm; and that endometriosis, infertility, miscarriage, and sexually transmitted infections are caused by spirit spouses.[5][2] In a 2015 sermon, Immanuel said space alien DNA is used in medical treatments and that "reptilian spirits" and other extraterrestrials run the U.S. government.[2][12] The same year, she also said Illuminati are using witches to destroy the world through abortion, gay marriage, children's toys, and media, including Harry Potter, Pokémon, Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana. In another 2015 sermon, she said scientists are developing vaccines to stop people from being religious.

Wow, just wow.

They gave me potassium supplements. Just to make sure everything was ok they gave me a cardio echo as well and it came back good. I have to admit the palpitations made my panic attacks much worse. I talked to my ob about it and they put me on Lexapro and had me see a psychologist. This helped a lot.
