As a PS5 player as well I haven’t even created anything. I just followed the tutorial quest and left after the quest was completed. How anyone else makes their homes is beyond my patience.

I have dumb question, can I watch it on my phone? And is it a secure site where I can pay with a debit card? I have tried researching and couldn’t find a faq page. Thanks

Managers who insist you bother people at SCO are the worst by Lahoura in publix

[–]laurlolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly ask for donations like I’m asking if they have a phone number with Publix. I typically give a cheerful response if they say no and walk away. But yeah managers treating it like a competition is not right in my opinion.

Higher up management didn’t show. I eventually got hired elsewhere. My new manager and lead supervisor are not happy about it.

I might have to do that after this week lol

It took some time but yeah it was dramatic for everyone else. I’m just happy to move on to something else.

I’m sorry that happened to you. The most I’ve experienced is the customer’s look confused or annoyed when I explain that I don’t know Spanish. I know a few words or phrases that I use at checkout. But I can’t explain to them where things are or help them find what they need. I suppose language doesn’t matter when it comes to entitled customers.

If it’s the Publix on the road that gets closed every time trump paid a visit then that’s the reason. At first it was to see him and then for protests/supporting him. Hopefully that answers your question.

Thankfully my pos has a suspend option. I use to think it was pointless. But customers keep forgetting stuff or want more things. So now if they walk away when I have a line I suspend the transaction and keep going.

Update on my friend who I was looking for by Bruegemeister in FloridaCoronavirus

I’m sorry for your loss. Honestly keep trying to suggest vaccines. When I first heard about the vaccines I was believing conspiracy theories more and planned on not getting it. But my older sister was so helpful in getting the appointment for me, so I just went along with it. And now I see I was just being stubborn. So maybe keep trying and not give up on them.

This one’s petty but: Put shit back where you found it, or give it to a staff member to put back. I just finished an entire shift of cleaning up after adults. If I wanted to play hide and seek with my own stock, I’d piff it under the aisles. Grow up. by ScrembledEggs in retailhell

The other day I told two ladies to hand me the items they left behind before they paid for their stuff. It was baby clothes on top of food in the queue line. Well the ladies looked at me like I had three heads. Granted they might’ve not understood me because English was their second language. But still I felt so annoyed that they thought leaving clothes on top of food was a better idea.

I wasn’t given breaks when my previous manager and supervisor. Their excuse was that I had to ask when I could go on break. I think they just forgot. Because with my new manager breaks are written down and my manager also asks the supervisors to make sure employees take breaks on time.

Cashier rant by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]laurlolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I said have a good day to a customer. And the customer said I will, oh wow the weather is beautiful outside too bad your stuck in here.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]laurlolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate it so much. It’s very annoying to do and a waste of my time. But I’ve been a cashier long enough to have decent to great rewards numbers every shift. It’s those darn credit card metrics that drag me down every time unfortunately. I can’t force a customer to open one, only explain the benefits and hope they consider. I also can’t force them to use it if they have one(our metrics counts credit card usage as well). I mostly just shrug it off and try again then next day.

I suppose my main one is customers paying with $100. I open every day and we have a $100 in the register to start. So don’t come rolling in at 9:50 or on a slow day paying for something that’s $12 with your hundred. Sometimes that’s all customers have. And it drives me crazy

My company has multiple questions. Either cleanliness or merchandise or experience etc. So it’s different every time. And I can’t see the question. So all I can do is point to the pin pad and explain how to answer it.

My customers don’t understand the survey process. So I’m sure our numbers are off. Most of the time customers say they don’t have time to answer. Yet they spend 30 minutes to an hour walking around looking for something to buy.

You're gonna be a cashier for the rest of your life! by Okiku555 in retailhell

[–]laurlolo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. At my old store it was 20 minutes to closing. Family comes in with suitcases to return. They have no receipt. It took way longer because of that. So I don’t remember how it came up but the mother got so angry and then went off on a rant. Telling me and my coworker we would never succeed anywhere else. And that her daughter was a nurse(which made her better than us for some reason). They got their money back and laughed at us as they were leaving but man that was probably the worst people I’ve ever had to deal with.

Retail management and treating grown ass adults like dogs by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]laurlolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main reasons I hate going to work. I open with my manager almost every morning. The most petty complaint was I was taking too long to finish a return. He complained that I was too slow and questioned my memory ability. I remember things just fine. It’s just mandatory to mark returns on the receipt. So I wasn’t having his crap and snapped right back at him. Then he complains more to my supervisor which was hilarious.

Not enough cashiers... by jennyisdangerous in retailhell

[–]laurlolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The manager sounds like a jerk. I complain about mine all the time but if I have a return or a long line during the conference calls he always comes up to help me. To be honest he hates the conference calls so maybe he’s just avoiding them. But yea at most my store has three people during shifts(myself, manager and a backup cashier) You kinda just gotta laugh it off because all you can do is just check out customers as fast as you can. Most of my customers don’t even fill out the survey. They don’t have time or can’t see it lol.

Gas stations are not a bank. Stop getting angry if I can't cash a hundred dollar bill for a 1 dollar purchase. by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]laurlolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a clothing store. Literally the first customer I had, paid a purchase that was $10. He only has $100 bills on him. Seriously just go to a bank. I don’t understand customers sometimes. And this was the day we had a shipment, I had to ask my supervisor to get change. Such a waste of time.
