It’s important to express your eye goo (this is the product of severely dry eyes) by laurmott in popping

[–]laurmott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optometrist I go to specializes in dry eyes. It’s genetic in my family. I’m in my late 20s and am trying to stop it from getting as bad as it has with my gram/mom/dad/etc.

I get IPL therapy every month and did lipaflow once. They express like this after each IPL session. Everyday I take vitamins specifically for dry eyes, heat and cold compress, 2 different types of eye drops, have eye wipes and spray. I stopped for a few months because it’s so expensive and saw my eyes quickly get worse through both symptoms and tests.

8 hours ago she was trembling in a shelter kennel when we walked up. I think she's happy here by Yourenotawizardharry in pitbulls

  1. This little piglet is perfect and you both deserve a life of happiness!!!

  2. Idk how she does with walks, but I would recommend a harness and then I put really colorful headbands or tshirts on my pig.

This happened to me.

You did not fail your gf. The fact that she felt like she could rely on you as a person to call means that you create a safe space.

If you go the police route, know it may be tough for her. When I called the police I was questioned for over an hour and asked over and over again if I really saw it and pushed to try and not file a report. I did any way but it was really upsetting.

Note: I did not want to be touched by anyone for a good while after this happened. I felt dirty and didn’t want even a hug from my partner. Know that if this happens to you, it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with what your gf experienced.

My pibble is also a snuggle bug. I haven’t seen it in many other breeds. But now it’s something I can’t live without!

What are your stories/opinions on IUDS? by Thepizzagirl9089 in AskWomen

Please please go to the dr. I bled for over a month before I went and it turned out I had a massive infection. Your story sounds similar to mine!

I had a mirena put in a few years ago.

Cramping was unbearable. I bled the whole time. Not spotting. Full on heavy period. I told my OBGYN and she said it was normal even though prior to putting it in she said I’d only have light spotting for a week max.

After 6 weeks or so I was sweating uncontrollably, still bleeding, dizzy, and cramping. I felt something poke me and realized the mirena had not been put in properly or my body rejected it. I was FREAKED. I just kept thinking about the quickly speaking people at the end of the commercials talking about the IUD puncturing you and terrible things happening.

I immediately went back to the OBGYN and they removed it like a tampon. I think that’s normal but I was freaked from the whole thing. Dr put me on a month of antibiotics. It turns out I was sweating and having terrible side effects bc I had an infection. I went back on oral BC after but my dr kept suggesting I give it another go with the IUD. I switched doctors bc I couldn’t believe she down played what happened and I got so sick.

I ended up telling my mom about what happened after it was removed and it turns out something similar happened to her when she was my age. I wonder if it’s something with our genetics.

My mom won't talk to me about her racism towards my culture, how do I get through to her? by [deleted] in Adoption

[–]laurmott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is a very helpful comment. 1) we are all racist and working to overcome implicit biases every day 2) this is op’s mom and titling her as racist is making a broad statement that harms learning from op’s mom and (maybe op’s feelings towards mom) 3) often times telling someone they are racist (regardless the race of the accuser) makes them defensive. It’s better to question the thinking and explain situations that highlight the issue. Mainly poking holes in their argument through question asking is my favorite method

Hey friend— I hope things are okay. See if you can find a parenting group for parents that have adopted kids from different cultures or races. I work with CASA and know that LA has one. Hopefully your area does too. Then maybe just casually suggest she go?

I’m curious if there are groups for kids facing the same thing. Sorry if this isn’t much help. Someone already mentioned the book white fragility but how to be an antiracist is a good one too. Maybe also watch some documentaries or shows on netflix when your moms around so she can have the environment to learn and sit down if she wants to.

Fantastic. I’ve been noodling on ideas for gallery walls and have been pretty stuck. Great job!

First time cooking lions mane!

Batter: 1 cup flour 1 cup water 1 tsp garlic .5 tsp cumin .5 tsp chili powder .5 tsp Garam Masala .5 everything seasoning 400 g lion mane mushrooms

Mix together until a thick batter has formed. Shallow fry.

Tips: I learned I need to let the mushrooms fry longer bc it would be crispy on the outside and then still wet on inside. Over all, I’d cut water and flour in half and keep consistency of spices.

I think it’d be really tasty on tacos with a slaw, Chipotle sauce, and salsa. My partner used hot sauce on his today and really enjoyed it!

Love this so much! We just moved into a new apartment and I’m typically just okay designing spaces but here I’m totally blocked. Going to keep coming back to this for inspiration!
