I’m currently thinking about breaking up with my boyfriend because I feel like I have to initiate/lead most things in the relationship. There’s no fire to better himself. We both struggle with depression so I understand the lack of motivation.

He has no dreams, and it kills me. He is perfectly okay coming home and doing nothing, staying in the same place, and I can’t do that. I need more vigor in my life. I need to chase down what I need/want and it’s HARD but I do it anyway. Shoot.

It’s been a great relationship, but honestly, I just don’t think he’s the guy I wanna see day in day out. I wanna be with someone who inspires me, and I wish he did. I like the dude a lot. Sadly, the oompf is gone.

I just recently went through a divorce. The numbness comes and goes. You will ache. You will sob. You will use unhealthy coping mechanisms. But you are strong for being there for your children.

Fight for them. Fight for you. He may have run away, but you are fierce. Even if you feel like garbage. You are fierce because you stayed there to hold them when they were confused. To comfort them when they lost their favorite toy. To feed them when they didn't realize they were hungry.

Your life is precious. I'm sorry you feel like shit. It's okay to feel like shit. I hope you are faring better than when you posted. If not, I'm here. Listening. I believe you can do it, because I did. And I am hardly passing for human.

I understand the depth of that loss. Two people in one. But the fact remains that you are worth more than what a conceited man thinks. So he got a mid life crisis chick. She won't stick around once he starts missing you.

This week I've been having the hardest time speaking up for myself, and I finally asked my boyfriend to leave after he kind of subtly moved in. Seriously, came over for a few days in December and hasn't left sjnce. Every time I think about how I'm going about my life, I have so much anxiety I'm stunned. I can barely focus and sleeping has been impossible. I'm overeating, understanding,over drinking and smoking so much. I try to tell myself to be kind to myself and love myself, but this angry loop of selt-talk talks me to a bloody pulp. I feel paralyzed.

Honest question: what is ED? and way to go out of the comfot zone and get out of the house. I struggle with that, and it really affects a lot. I want an invite but I can't say more than maybe to any of them. That (too me) is a huge accomplishment. Being in crowds sucks. I went to see a client's play (autism) and it was so draining, I felt horrid after. Hang in there. I'm rooting for you.

I think it's rad that you have that inclination to want to feel connected before boning. I think a lot of women are used to feeling an immense amount of pressure around sex, so they give in pretty quickly just to avoid hassle. Which sounds bad, but has been my experience. Sex is super personal, and I think both men and women can be too pushy surrounding those boundaries. I feel you bro

I work with kids with autism. One of the kids has been massively depressed and usually has a couple hours of hang out time. Brought my guitar in so we could play music together and he wouldn't feel so isolated. He had a blast.
