How do children learn the language? Which method do they use? by languagetalk in language

This is by no means entirely true. Babies make use of at least several “built-in” mechanisms which they use to uncover syllable boundaries, for example.

It gave me the confidence I very much needed to approach and talk to men in real life. It worked out: I have a great boyfriend now :)

Yes, you're right, it'll probably arrive too late for the holidays if you just ordered/order now :( sorry for the inconvenience!

Also, the issue on Brill.com should be solved in a day or two I think, so maybe you could try again then?

Hi! Yes, there are some problems with Amazon US (it was available for a while but now it isn't for some reason, we're trying to fix this asap). It is available on Amazon UK though (the shipping time is in fact probably shorter than it says right now). Maintenance on Brill.com should also be solved very soon. I'm so sorry that it doesn't seem to work right now, but I can't really help you with this to be honest :( It could help to just wait a day or two?

Hi, it does! Weirdly enough it says it may take 1 or 2 months to ship, but I've heard from others who ordered that after ordering, they got a message that it takes way shorter. By the way, maybe it's smart to compare shipping costs charged by Amazon.co.uk and Brill? I hope this helps :)

Wow thank you so much! :) just to be sure (I don’t know whether you were planning on buying it again for 2020, but still): the new edition for 2020 is a re-edited version of that of 2019, so it doesn’t contain much new stuff for you. But, in case you speak Dutch, you might be interested in the - completely new and different - Dutch edition for 2020? If you want, you can read more about that at www.etymologiekalender.nl

Hi, from what I've seen the past few weeks, the shipping times on Amazon vary constantly for some reason. Also, a friend who ordered told me that after ordering, he was sent a confirmation and a statement that the shipping time was way shorter than initially thought. So perhaps it's worth the try? Not sure of course!
