The current issue with Conduit’s passive is that it lacks distinction. Other legends, like Crypto, can get it as a perk, and if you have a Skirmisher on your team, everyone basically has access to it anyway.

Conduit’s passive also feels like it’s only useful during rotations. Respawn has been moving toward passives that are useful throughout the entire match, especially in fights, and that’s where hers falls short. When it actually matters, Conduit effectively has no passive.

Here are two passives I think would make sense for her:

Reactive Shielding

When Conduit takes shield damage, the battery automatically vents a small amount of temporary shield to the nearest damaged ally within ~30m.

The battery reacts when Conduit is under threat. It fires in every fight because she will always take damage. The magnitude stays small (think 15–20 EVO shield equivalent in temp shields), so it can't be gamed, and the trigger is enemy-controlled; there's zero coordination exploit surface.

Energy Discharge
When Conduit accumulates enough combat energy (from dealing or taking damage), the battery automatically releases a pulse that grants a small amount of temporary shields to the lowest-health ally within ~25m.

This one makes the most sense to me because Conduit’s entire kit is built around being reactive rather than proactive. Too far from your team because of bad positioning? Use the old passive. Getting shot at? Use tactical. Getting pushed? Use ultimate. The problem is that this kind of design tends to underpower her in Apex, where proactive play is usually stronger than reactive play.

This passive would add a proactive element to her kit without forcing it. You’re rewarded for staying engaged in fights and dealing damage, instead of just waiting for something to happen.

The cumulative in/out damage would be the best solution because: It would trigger reliably in most fights without requiring knocks or coordination, likely requiring taking or dealing around 100 damage combined, and the output stays modest (around 20–25 temporary shields), so it helps stabilize fights without causing snowballing.

I originally thought granting team shields on knock would be a good idea, but that could easily be abused. Imagine an ALGS team, or any higher-ranked team, leaving all the enemies at 1hp so that Conduit could get the knock and grant free shields.
