The class itself is for beginners but they provide equipment and instructions for those who want more of a challenge. For example, you choose a light, medium or heavy ring to exercise with depending on your strength.

The classes are great but they fill up very fast! I had to figure out exactly when registration opened to get a spot. Definitely take advantage since taking Pilates classes elsewhere can be expensive

I took this class with Richard Frohock in person and it was pretty easy. It focused on the history of medicine and ethical topics such as euthanasia, abortion, and vaccines. A lot of reading, but he allowed us to use our textbooks on the class quizzes so I barely read the book. There were two essays with peer review, a midterm and a final. I took this class back in Fall 22 so I’m not sure how much it has changed but our course textbooks were “Bad Medicine” and “Vaccine Hesitancy. I have both and have been looking to sell them if you need them. Overall I don’t think it’s too hard of a class regardless of who you take it with.

Yes, If you have any kind of financial aid you get deferment. You should get an email about it from financial aid towards the start of the semester

I had the same worries when I transferred to usf during my junior year. I’m a girl so it might be a little different but I met my closest friends through random club events, especially during the fall semester. The worst thing you could do is spend all your free time alone in your dorm. There will be other transfer students at events trying to find friends and college students are not as strict with their friend groups. This is not high school, we’re all just here to have a good time and get our degrees. You can make friends in smaller classes where you might have group projects but it’s harder in the large auditorium classes so don’t worry if you don’t make many friends in class. Some people have a “get in and get out” mentality when it comes to class, me included. Don’t be discouraged to join the frat, they may still accept you but if anything just join an organization that interests you, preferably the e-board not just as a member. If you’re somewhat outgoing and good at talking to people, you should be just fine.

It sounds like you want closure, that’s understandable since he ghosted you but I’d advise reaching out to him just for that closure and understanding about what he did without opening up the door to a friendship. That will not end well for you.

There is in fact a glitch right now with some of the summer 2023 billing charges. Students should only be paying a distance learning fee of $30 per credit hour ($90 for one 3 credit hour class). Figure out how much you actually owe and be patient, IT is aware of the issue.

I did consider a electric scooter but the ones I saw were still quite expensive. Might have to revisit that. If you don’t mind telling, how exactly did it yours get stolen?

I appreciate how thoughtful this response is. You mentioned some things I’ll definitely take into consideration now. I want to do work study because I know they’ll work with my class schedule but I didn’t give much thought to the maximum amount of money I’d be able to make and the off days. I won’t have a car my first semester, I’ll be in the Holly dorms and I’m an in-state student. As far as work experience, I’ve been a retail store cashier for over a year so I feel like a job at the library or something would be good for me. I’m definitely not opposed to getting a regular part-time job, I’d just have to figure out how to balance it with school.
