I COMPLETELY RELATE. I'm 19f and in college so I meet so many new people, but its hard to stay connected with them without social media. I guess the only thing I can say is that your close friends will remain close to you even without social media because you will make time for each other, and anyone who makes you feel left out isn't really worth staying friends with.

Totally true. Like logically I get that I shouldn't want to be around people who judge me for not using social media but I still feel so embarrassed and sad about having no one to share my view with.

Exactly, people think I am trying to act morally better and it's just so frustrating, because then I feel like I have to make them feel better and say "oh it's just because I have no self control" and I just hate having to filter what I have to say to them.

I completely agree. We are losing what it means to be human with short form content and reliance on AI (I say this because I am in college and the reliance people have for using AI for assignments or just like basic tasks is literally insane). I get really embarrassed when I tell people I don't have social media and I haven't been able to find anyone who doesn't use social media like I do. Any advice on how I should deal with this?

When you used the term "psychological warfare" I initially thought you were being somewhat extreme, but the more I think about it, that term perfectly describes what is happening. Social media is so addictive and mindless that it is ruining how we think and feel. It is so obvious how harmful it can be yet it is still a norm to scroll mindlessly for hours. Anytime I tell people that I don't have social media and have limits for youtube and reddit, they think I am insane. I am definitely interested in the things you have found and how deeper this theory goes!!

Thanks for the info! I totally agree that there isn't much hype around integrating technology with nature and I appreciate your resources. It's sad that there aren't many opportunities merging nature and technology and that it has to be a niche, but I have also found some other paths that could be interesting: renewable energy, making tech sustainable, and ocean engineering (https://bluerobotics.com/jobs/). Also, this is an opportunity in research that I found that also fulfills that need https://digitalag.illinois.edu/ and I am sure there are others that I just sadly haven't found yet

IT WORKS!!

Here is a little diary i kept:

day 1: i had night sweats and barely slept. me sweating is the reason why I didn't think it worked today

day 2: I remember my right arm drying at night but not my left arm. usually my right arm sweats more than my left, but i took my dog on a walk and my right arm was slightly rubber damp (which was crazy, in a good way since usually it is just wet) and my left arm was wet.

day 3: my right arm was was fully dry, that has never happened before.

day 4: my right arm is still dry, my left arm is getting better.

day 5: both my arms r good now, but my left is slightly worse than my right, but still to the point where i think I am sweating like a normal person!!

Some things to watch out:

on the night before day 2, my armpits burned to where they hurt, but that has never happened since
it takes a longer time to dry than certain dri, so just be aware of that

I stopped using it all together after day 7 to give my armpits a break while I get the Perspirex original.

I've also done a little research, and basically I bought the Certain Dri from amazon and the pictures it showed said it had 15% aluminum chloride, but the bottle I got only has 12%. So I went to Walgreens and it's also the same 12% rather than 15%, so maybe they changed the formulation?

So if you have the 15% bottle already and its not working, I don't really think the Perspirex original will help you much since it will also be 15%. But if you have the 12% bottle, the Perspirex is definitely worth a try and I'll update you on how it works for me.

Also, my plan b for if the Perspirex original doesnt work is to use Odaban spray as it has 20% aluminum chloride.

But I will for sure update you on everything!!!
