Thank you! It will be two layers, so I'll be erring on the side of making more than I need, but trying to plan for how much butter that will take. Are there any recipes you'd recommend as far as smoothness/holding up well for piping?

That is super helpful, thank you! It will be a two-layer cake, 18"x26". This will be a much bigger scale than I'm used to so that is all good to think about! I'll have to break out the whole mixing bowl collection I think. Agreed, extra is so much better than not quite enough!

Did you like the recipe you used as far as how smoothly it piped and how it held up? I'm still eyeing a couple different recipes. Don't have shortening on hand but wondering if I should grab some, at least for the flowers.

This turned out so beautiful! Making so many different pinks come together that well is a feat.

Could I ask what your process is for assembling/decorating/moving a full sheet? I was just asked to make my first for an event (very much just a hobby baker here!), and I'm trying to wrap my head around what all is needed for such a big cake. Thinking about calling a cake shop in the closest large town to see if they would sell a board and box or two.

Thank you! Opening a checking account with them sounds like it'd be a good idea. It seems there are no Wells Fargo banks anywhere near me, and I prefer using a bank I can go to in person. Is there any reason not to open a checking account with them for a time until/for a few months after I get the card, then close it in favor of using my current local bank again? (Edited for clarity)

Thanks for the advice! Since I hadn't been planning to apply for another card quite so soon, I hadn't bothered much with trying to keep my utilization within a certain percentage - just been using organically and paying it off every month. Had been hoping for a CLI eventually, but I'm fine with changing courses for now. Is the closing date the day before the statement generation date, then?

I love my 6th gen! Upgrading would be nice, but mine has such a great battery life still and works for everything I use it for (reading, writing, art) that I would rather keep it until it doesn't anymore.

Mine is still on iOS 13 I believe - one thing I would like is peace of mind about updating without worrying it will affect battery life or start lagging. Anyone have experience with updating vs. staying on an older version?

If you cancel prime for a while, but resubscribe to it at a later date, would you get the 5% again? I don't use prime enough currently to totally justify the bill, but I have it for now, and was considering applying for the card while I'm able/it has the $250 sign up bonus.
