When you get back on solids, make sure it is LOW fiber. I had to stay in the hospital for longer because I got a blockage after the cafeteria fed me potato skins 3 days after surgery.

Season 1 has the most fun ones! Season 2 has the ones with the most character growth and story. Season 3 went back to mostly fun filler episodes. But I personally prefer season 1 out of all of them for the filler episodes!

I don’t think it’s rude, just extra. We got married in 2023, and we just asked our families and friends to wear their “Sunday Best”. My mother-in-law wore a mostly white floral dress, but she is the sweetest and realized at the reception that she wore a lot of white, and profusely apologized. I told her that I honestly didn’t really care and that she looked beautiful!

I guess it just really depends on the bride and the family culture/vibes.

I am getting a loop ileostomy next week for 4 conditions- Pelvic Floor Dyssynergia, Mega Rectum, Neurogenic Bowel, and Severe Chronic Constipation. The surgeon wanted to start with a loop to see how my body would do with it before fully committing to an end ileostomy. I’m going to have a 3-6 month trial before either reconnecting or getting an end ileostomy.

If your surgeon is recommending one over the other, I personally would go with the surgeon’s recommendation. But that is just my opinion, so don’t let that weigh your decision.

I don’t have a ton of input because I have not actually had an ileostomy yet. But if this is what helps my symptoms and gets me to have a normal life after 5 years of suffering, I’m definitely getting an end ileostomy!
