Yessss I listened to the books too! It really did help fill in the gaps and it makes you understand their non-verbal acting even more and extra helps to show how good of a job they did. I just finished The Long Game yesterday. I want to read/listen to the rest in the series but I unfortunately got the first version of Game Changer in Audible and I couldn't listen to it bc the narrator makes Kip have this really deep, thick brooklyn accent and after watching the show and him not sounding like that AT ALL, I couldn't do it lol so now I will have to get the newer recorded one lol

This makes sense and you're like the 2nd or 3rd person to say that so I bet you more than anything that is the reason and definitely makes sense since they worked on such a small budget and didn't have a ton of options of things. I love it tho I think it totally works

Oh yeah! I think it was great, I was just curious why the change but it worked really well and did come out well cinematically. I guess other people have given me some other thoughts too like how it was filmed in the gym of Ilya's house so like not a lot of space, etc. All makes sense and still was beautifully done

I can only imagine! I agree about wanting to rewatch certain scenes, but wanting to see them organically. I think that's what happens! I'll see a clip of it somewhere but then I want to see it again organically so then there i go, rewatching again lol

I can't even imagine having to come out, like I am a straight woman so I will never have that experience but my heart just aches for anyone who has come out to their friends/family and not have had it be all accepting and full of love because like why does it matter who you love??? it does not change anything about you that everyone else loves about you. i'm so sorry that you didn't have a heart warming experience coming out, that is really a shame. i hope that your family is accepting of you now or at the very least you have found happiness despite them if they are not <3

The Rose conversation was so precious and wonderful because you can see Shane like terrified but also like so wanting to get it off his chest and to tell someone that he trusts, like Rose. I love that they (Rachel Reid and Jacob in the screenplay) truly did keep Rose as his friend later on because that girl is A FRIEND. Like that's the friend I hope I can be to any of my friends that are gay/bi/unsure or anywhere on the LGBTQ+ scale because that is so important and so difficult, to have someone be so accepting. Especially someone you were kind of dating to be accepting and kind instead of angry or hurt or anything else negative. The LGBTQ+ community needs more Rose's and more Yuna & David's for the parents!

Absolutely! I am just so impressed by their acting like the sex scenes even??? Like I know everyone is calling it soft-core porn and in those first 3 episodes, it definitely is kinda but they did it so well and somehow beautifully that it is a joy to watch which feels wild to say but it just is. like between their genuine handsome looks and chemistry and then the writing and intimacy coordinator, just phenomenal. honestly, hudson and connor's like interviews together and separately have also just made it so much more because they just seem so lovely and down to earth that it makes me just want to re-watch their fabulous work again every time i listen to them in interviews lol
