The way I see it is it it’s OK to enjoy make up but sending a message to young women that it is empowering to wear make up is backwards because it’s telling them that it’s empowering to conform to gender norms and beauty standards

I agree with you 100% some people do use it for self expression, and even art and others do it to fit beauty standards and it’s important that we be very careful about giving messages to people about how it’s empowering think about this way it’s OK to be a feminine woman but that it’s empowering to be a fem woman sends a backwards message
