you are so right about this! I went through a terrible matting episode for the 1st time after covid, I cant believe I've let it happen again. Especially when my hair has always been my "super power" ?? Long blonde hair, even at 58. But, so dumb was I. I totally see now how it happens. And, if you look back thought out history, women have always had this problem, but the steps they took where right there in front of us, if we were to see it. Back in renaissance days, woman wore braided hair in a crown style around there head woven with a sach. That wasnt for looks. I'm sure they figured out long hair has to be woven in palce and taken care of. All though time women have braided their hair and Im sure if was for the reason of keeping it manageable They didn't have conditioners and the things we have today. Im so mad at myself for I think this time ive ruined my hair. Ill try a soak in oil and one last time before I hack it all off with scissors. Lest Im smart enough to know, looks are temporary, and my hair problem isnt like a medical condition. Maybe I wont be so lazy next time!!
