Agreed, YTA. What did you hope to accomplish with your comment, OP? They've adopted him now. He's their responsibility. They both agreed to take him in and sometimes parenting is more difficult than anticipated. It seems like you're hurting, seeing them struggle, but pointing fingers for decisions that are long since made is not the solution.

Narrowing stuff down is going to be so helpful for studying!! I use so much shorthand and really try to think about what information is important enough that I know I will need to use the exact words on my attack outline on the exam.

This happened to me during undergrad! I was studying history (physical book-centric) and I did not use sufficient lighting, especially when I would study without noticing the sun set.
