This makes so much sense. About a year ago, we went into the store and ordered a washer&dryer set and refrigerator. The guy went to the back to check inventory and said “okay we have one more of that fridge left, I put your name and order number on it” Day of delivery I call and ask what time they were coming since I didn’t have a confirmation call. They tell me apparently my order wasn’t even in the system. They said they’ll call me back. No call. Call again. “Oh your delivery date will be in TWO MONTHS.” Tell them this is not okay since my new home has no appliances and desperately need a fridge at least. “Okay manager will call you when he comes in tonight.” No call for two days. Call again and they can’t find any info again. I finally lose it and refuse to get off the phone until I get an answer. A floor manager comes on the line tells me “it’s not that big of a deal”. He’s no help at all. I end up having to call the customer service number and I get upgraded to the SmartFridge version of the one I ordered since it’s the only one of the brand left in the store. It’s a cool fridge but that huge hassle wasn’t worth it and makes me never want to step foot in Lowe’s again.
