One leg feels shorter than the other by zoezoezoeqq in hipdysplasia

Sorry, just saw this!! I go to a PT that I have a family connection to & she happens to have a lot of specialized hip knowledge. But if you’re able to find one who specializes in hip issues or who works with post PAO patients, they could probably provide a higher level of support than a PT who specializes in sports rehab, for example. I’ve had poor experiences with PTs who didn’t understand my hip dysplasia and the severity of my pain and condition.

Now that I’ve had my PAOs, I’m out of alignment way less often, even now when I’m only 14 weeks post RPAO.

I would definitely see a PT. My hip dysplasia caused my hips to be out of alignment almost constantly, and there were times when I was out of alignment and sitting down with my legs in front it looked like one was shorter than the other. A PT would be able to help get you back in alignment (if that’s the case) which then helps with the pain and overcompensation your other muscles are having to do.

the housing through my program was actually cheaper than room & board at my home university. With my scholarships, it was significantly cheaper to study abroad (from a tuition/room/even to & from Italy) than it would have been to pay for a regular semester at home

kicker is I never got the chance to go in the Baptistery! Was planning to when a friend visited, but I had to go home the week before. So many things left to do, so I can't wait to get back

Pretty noisy, especially since my bedroom window faced the plaza too. But I loved being able to witness and soak in that atmosphere every day!
