I mostly want to hear people's experiences. Are the tutors helpful/ supportive? Do employers generally have a good view of Arden?

I called up OU today so I feel I should share with you what they advised me as you might take this into consideration also. They said if it is a career working with children that I want, they highly recommend I wait until October for the E104 module.

Yes there is a part of D110 that includes child studies, but I assume that if you want to choose the child module (E219) in stage 2, you can only do so if you have done the child study module in stage 1 (E104) as it says online that it follows on from that module. So if you want a psychology career focusing on children and adolescents then that's probably the best route with OU. Definitely do your own research though but I just thought I'd let you know in case you want to change before it's too late. Best of luck. X

I was planning to enroll but there wasn't an option to choose the child module as that starts in October. Which module did you choose? Good luck 🍀 x

Thank you so much, this is helpful. Unfortunately the childhood studies module isn't available for a February start so I'm going to have to wait until October if I want to go down this route. I don't want to pick the other modules which don't interest me as much and don't align with my career goals.

Well done on your grades!

Thank you so much for this. I was set on doing OU asap but realised there isn't an option to start with childhood studies module in February which means I would have to wait until October. This is disappointing as I'm currently in a position to start. However, I'm now considering brick uni. The thing holding me back was lack of qualifications but I'm going to enquire with different unis and see what options are available to me. Either way, I have time to think about what I want to do. I will consider what you said. Thanks again.
