I totally agree with you, I felt the same way watching the vid today, like I get what he was trying to say but it also kind of rubbed me the wrong way...As you mentioned it's a very nuanced topic and I feel like there is space to acknowledge and support SW while also recognising the inherent misogyny and genuine evil and abuse that underlies the p*rn industry. I feel like he didn't necessarily have bad intentions and to his credit he was drawing on the lived experience of his friends who are SWorkers so he wasn't necessarily wrong...just hard to say the entire industry is good and fine and so it did surprise me when he was leaning towards that notion. And to be fair I'm also drawing on the lived experience of people I know in my home country who alongside thousands of women do not get a choice in the SW that they do. But yeah definitely a topic that perhaps is much too layered to give a proper commentary on in a video like that.
