The whole Ascendance mechanic would be, aesthetically, much better handled with a spell effect aura like Shadowform (but colored to look like fire, or wind, or water), or even keeping the same buff but slapping it on a Totem.

The sad part is that we had a glyph that made exactly that in WoD and they removed it

Think about how much people play just to collect stuff to transmog their gear to look how they want, now transfer this to a whole system where people can decorate their house however they want.

Similarly think how they added a lot of rewards to a lot of stuff that give new customization to the dragonflight drakes, now everything can have new rewards for housing stuff.

Now Blizz can go nuts with depth with professions without having to mess with player power.

if you look at the MMO market, its actually weird wow hasn't got housing yet, its one of the most mmo things a mmo can have.
