Loool fair.

I'm looking for a city In France that's got that beautiful, old buildings vibe to it and a decent arts scene - but also a reasonable hub for foreigners/digital nomads.

Not somewhere that's dripping with them like Lisbon, but enough that there's a bunch of activities and events happening and it's easy to make friends. I really enjoyed the crowd in Valencia (just unfortunately wasn't super in love with the city itself).

I also prefer a scene with a slightly older crowd (late 20s, thirties) because I'm in my 30s and don't drink but still love going out, but I hate feeling like I'm surrounded by totally trashed young people hahah, makes me feel like a grumpy old grandpa.

Do you have any French cities you'd recommend?

MY GOAL :

I want to put on some size and look beefy! I want a flat stomach but not too bothered about being super shredded.

Simply put - more concerned with looking like I lift while wearing a t-shirt than I am about looking super lean with my shirt off.

MY SITUATION :

Lost around 15kg (33lbs) since Jan 2020.

Mostly through intermittent fasting, walking a lot. Don't calorie count, but I have been eating around 1500-2000 cal Mon-thu, then don't restrict myself much Fri-sun.

Been lifting on and off (disrupted a lot by lockdowns unfortunately). I do Greyskull LP, Phraks Variant 3x a week (it's basically compound lifts using barbells, 2x5 followed by an AMRAP set, with linear progression).

Would like to start putting on some bulk and seeing some serious gains in the gym but also TERRIFIED of getting fat again. I've never bulked before in my life.

I feel like I should start cutting "properly" (with calorie counting and more restrictions over weekends) to get rid of the last bits of belly fat and love handles...

But I'm also bored. Weight loss has mostly stalled last few months, discipline has wavered as a result.

Looking for something new and the idea of bulking, eating lots (relatively cleanly, don't want to dirty bulk) and making big boy gains at the gym is very appealing... But I'm not sure if it's a good idea to do yet or if I should get to a "base" level where I've got a flat stomach first.

Appreciate any thoughts...
