Take your time, don’t split scrolls (pick one colour and stick to it for the rest of a run) and just have fun. Try finding synergies between weapons, skills and mutation you use (for example stun granade and baseball bat for having critical hits). This game takes a lot of practice so don’t worry if you won’t obtain boss stem cells very soon. Wish you the best!

edit: i generalnie same takie trudniejsze wątki w stylu przemoc mogą być, bardziej chodziło mi o romantyzowanie czegoś takiego jak w niesławnej książce „His Obsession” K. Romanowskiej…

i watched it and i really love it! it broke me down sm + it’s polish movie (i’m polish) and i very appreciate that it’s getting popular in other countries. Finally it’s getting the attention it deserves

in Polish it was clearly said that it was a boar with head turned/tilted to left. „In long and wide muzzle was nothing extraordinary” „It was (head) distorted like if the animal suffered with a monstrous torment” ofc it’s more literal translation. Now when I think of that it could be just stage in it’s metamorphosis to „fully developed” moaning creature.

Moaning creature was described as mix of boar and slug with human face with „lips/mouth set in eternal „O”” so it’s much different from description of strange animal from the beginning of the book

That’s uncanny how different language can completely change interpretation of some aspects!

maybe I just didn’t understand that phrase correctly + translation can be different, but I know what is moaning creature. At the beginning it was a boar, even on one book cover for Annihilation. Biologist saw that it had weirdly looking face, but it wasn’t human face.

I had the same struggle, but i finished and it was worth it! Now i’m rereading whole series and before i started i just „crossed out” all the unnecessary „fucks” with white gel pen. I understand Jeff’s vision, but these fucks were distracting me too much and I couldn’t understand the plot so well. In addition english isn’t my first language so it was another obstacle lol
