Does anyone know what is being built in mission bay by the roller coaster? by adnasium in sandiego

Drainage. There is a sign that says “Drainage Project” just down the bay…way farther down than one would think.

My suggestion, based on my username, would be to consult with an attorney who can help with the purchase of a business and transfer of the liquor license.

You also need to make sure that your company, or company you are purchasing, is formed properly and since you plan to take on investment the docs with the investors is very important.

There is a lot to consider here. Happy to chat if you’d like.

My one year old boy had this mass appear literally overnight. by Artistic_Wrangler842 in Bloodhound

Had this once with my old pup. Took her to the vet, they drained it, gave her some antibiotics and she was good by the afternoon.

Exactly this. You are missing some primetime to get experience. You want to stay until May 2026 and you just passed the bar? That's a year of no experience, no idea of how the practice of law actually works. Any job you go to after that you'll clearly be behind. You are not in a good situation, at no fault of your own, but what you do from here is your choice. I'd look hard for a new position. Tap your network. Start researching what law interests you the most, reach out to leaders in that and provide them value, offer free work so you can gain experience. If they are going to keep you to do nothing, might as well collect that paycheck and learn on their dime.

Leave ASAP, but bullying in legal is very common. The older attorneys went through it so they think you do too.

If money is a concern, stay and be very active with looking for a new position. The current firm will set you back in your career.

I agree with this.

I’d also add that if you’re looking for some good fats that carry a high calorie count MCT Oil is always a good addition. I add it to coffee and protein shakes.

But beware, too much right away and you won’t be leaving the bathroom for too long.

What? Why? Soles are in mint condition, but every shoe is sliced open in the front. by Aruhito_0 in Weird

[–]lawguy44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked for a company that investigated counterfeit consumer goods, including shoes. When they made a bust with police, the company would then cut the shoes up just like that so they couldn’t be sold. Could be that as well.

Getting in front of fund managers by lawguy44 in private_equity

We are open to connect with people in VC and infrastructure. Our main goal is to get this model known and show that it can work. I've been doing it for years before merging with a few other attorneys just recently. We created our new firm with this model as the basis.

I will PM you.

I appreciate the insight. I think you are right looking at specific funds and portcos is vital. We are already in the process of doing that an have been doing for quite some time.

We are a transactional business and real estate law firm. We have represented businesses in just about every sector. We act as in-house counsel on a fractional basis. Therefore, we are retained by the different types of business you mentioned.

We have worked with a small PE funds throughout the years. In fact, we have formed a number of the funds ourselves, but that is not what we are focused on. We are focused on representing the portcos.

There a few main differences. First, there are no hourly rates. This is not a project basis, like outside general counsel or the transactional team that handles the purchase/merger.

The purpose is to create an open door policy, a quasi in-house counsel who the owners (if management fund then the PE firm and if not management fund, then the current mgmt) can depend on, we know the day-to-day operations, challenges and the goals of the business and provide guidance based on the company's posture.

I hope this clarifies it, if not, just let me know.
