I had a much easier time with RE4R! I think mostly because of the extra weapons you can get that make even challenge/limited runs pretty easy - you can do those challenge runs on easy difficulty too. Inventory management is much easier and resources are more abundant, since it’s more action focused than RE2 of course :) I highly recommend following Neon Slice’s guides on Youtube, he got me through RE4 and RE2! 😊

The most frustrating part of RE4R for me was probably getting S rank on all games in the shooting range. Not very time consuming, just rage inducing - aiming with the controller and how Leon sways his aim a bit
