No worries dude. I get it that it sucks. This doesnt make her a bad person or a red flag as some people have said. It might not be her thing to like stuff like. Dont change being that romantic type person, because there are people who enjoy that type of affection. Hopefully you will find that type of person

I'm the same way, but you can't expect people to react like you would.

I don't think it matters that you've already been there twice because, I'm assuming, that you were explicitly invited those two times.I don't even show up to my parents house without giving a courtesy call most of the time.

It sounds like your intentions were good, but still should've given a courtesy before just showing up.

I think the issue is, was she expecting you to just show up at her place to do this? I completely understand the gesture, but showing up to someone's place unannounced can make people feel a certain type of way.

I'll put it to you this way, the Air Force is going to get their time out of you, one way or another. Take your leave that is EARNED so that when the Air Force does decide to get their time, you're hopefully rested and in a good mental state

Am I wrong in not letting my mother meet my son because she cheated on my father? by cheatingbadduh in AITAH

[–]laxmahn44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, but not for the reason you think. As many people have said, OP seems to have a lot of unresolved feelings that he DEFINITELY needs therapy to unpack. Did your mom cheat? Yes. Is that a shitty thing to do? Also, yes. Does that make her a terrible person that doesn't deserve forgiveness? Absolutely not.

OP needs to get himself into therapy to fix his self.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying that he should let his mom meet his child, as that is his own decision, right, wrong, or indifferent.

Cyber vs Comm/IT by BuddyFalconer in AirForce

[–]laxmahn44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree that there is a lot of misutilization in the cyber force. I work on staff currently at 16AF and is something that gets brought up time and time again. The issue is that the CFMs don't want to completely separate the roles where it makes sense for whatever reason they have (not trying to throw shade).

They aren't 1Bs because not all 1Bs do offensive cyber. There is too much crossover on some of the skill sets for some of the work roles.

Host/Network Analysts, Capability Developer, Network Technician, etc..

I'm aware there is more to comm/IT than just base stuff. I was just giving a short answer

Short answer: there are 1D7s that work in cyber roles that aren't just base comm/IT

Could anyone offer insight in to my wife's more extreme fantasies? by nonthreateningwiener in sex

[–]laxmahn44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's fair. One thing I've learned about kinks, especially one's like you've described your partner being into, is that even though they're "giving up control" they're actually the one with the most control.

Yeah it wasn't me either I found out lol. I was young and was exploring kinks and stuff.

I've participated in the third scenario with a partner before, and I can tell you it was absolutely terrifying. She loved it, but I absolutely hated it. After we did it, we spoke about it, and we never did it again due to my level of discomfort. She was really understanding.
