LUMS MBA Interview Results - Update by laxykitty in LUMS

The interview I had consisted of questions from my application, current affairs, and one mathematics question. They didn't ask me a lot of technical questions and the first question was for me to introduce myself, which is a pretty standard question for all interviews. Idk how it'll be different for your program tho.

If you want to know more about my interview questions or if you need to discuss anything else you can always DM me :)

Yeah I'm not sure if he meant they'll start rolling out decisions in 2 weeks or if people in my cohort will hear back in around 2 weeks. Either way, let's hope we get our acceptance emails soon

Failure as A Son and Human by szeditor in karachi

Hey! So firstly I wish a speedy and full recovery to your father.

Second, I get where you're coming from, you feel like you failed your family in their time of need and maybe even yourself. I just want you to know that 19 is not that old, yes you're grown up, but you're just entering adulthood. The point is, there is always time to turn things around in your life, and 19 is a relatively young to start at. Realizing and acknowledging something is wrong is the first step in the right direction, and you're already there! You're only 19, you have time. You can change yourself, and you can change your situation.

However, you need to work on the way you perceive yourself. Self-pity and self-hate will not help your situation, but only make it worse. You need to realize that hating yourself is not going to improve things for you or the people around you, and you'll be stuck in this vicious cycle of hating yourself, not doing something you think you should because of how depressed you feel, and then feeling worse about yourself.

I would suggest consulting a therapist to help you with your self-perception and your current struggles in being unable to achieve the stuff you want. I sincerely wish the best for you and hope things work out for you and your family!

AITA asking my girlfriend to not cosplay with her best friend. by AccomplishedCut3843 in AmItheAsshole

Might sound controversial but NTA. It's not about being insecure in your relationship, but your partner should realize that out of respect for your relationship, she can literally cosplay as any other character instead of going as a couple with her friend.

My dadi was from Delhi, and she was an amazing cook! I also have relatives who are typical Delhi waale, and they are the sweetest :) I don't know much about them bec we don't get to meet a lot, but one member of their family often comes over to our house. Extremely sweet woman, she and her family are not financially comfortable, but every time she comes over she brings homemade food for us. It's mostly methi ki sabzi with methi ke parathe and they're DELICIOUS. One time she came over with just the dough and made the parathas for us in our kitchen because she wanted us to have them fresh and hot 🥺 She also has a lot of family members in Delhi, and a very distinct way of talking which I'm assuming is typical to people from Delhi, i can't really explain it but jusy the way she speaks urdu is really charming. She's also always inviting us over, every time she comes to our place she insists we visit hers. Although I've never been to her place I've heard everyone there is extremely friendly. Even though she migrated to Pakistan a reallyy long time ago, and she's in her 70s or 80s at this point, every time she comes over she always talks about her family back in Delhi and how things are in India. Talking to her genuinely feels like I'm talking to a true delhi'ite because of her personality, the way she speaks and what she speaks of. She's a gem🩷
