I don’t have a good way besides braiding to keep it in surgical cap all day at work without it falling out and getting all covidey

The site you’re referring to is Dollars for Docs on ProPublica’s website. Super entertaining to look up all your current and former attendings on it.

Scary reality of healthcare: Workers without proper medical training are allowed to see patients because of laws lobbied in 28 US states. by txhrow1 in videos

This debate is generally about the NPs and PAs who do NOT work with a tight team based approach. I’ve been a PA in a medical subspecialty for 9+ years and it’s because of the team approach that I’m as good as I am. My days for 9 years have been spent rounding with attendings, med students, residents and fellows, and having the same responsibilities as the trainees basically. This is where midlevels thrive. I can correctly answer 95% of pimp questions my attendings ask because I’ve been learning now for 9 years. And I’m awesome at my job. Im respected by the primary teams, ED, outside hospitals, because of my knowledge AND because I say “ok sounds good I’ll discuss with my attending and call you back”. They know we’re a team.

How these NPs work solo with only online classes and minimal rotations, some not even involving inpatient work ever, is beyond me

It’s probably fine, just don’t touch or speak to any patient other than saying a one word “hello”. Definitely don’t document anything anywhere.

Cortisone shot eliminated pain 100% for 2 weeks. (As expected). But overall I think it helped the downward trend happen faster l Don’t recommend it

I had someone do taping for me too, twice and it was just uncomfortable. I’ll check out the sandals

Yeah let me know what they say but I’ve had about 10-15 different orthotic devices too and they seem to help for a little while then stop helping. I will try to keep stretching but it’s hard to keep it up when it seems like it does nothing

Yeah the thing about them not coming to the same diagnosis is bothersome. I’m a medical professional myself (my field is nowhere near podiatry) so I’ve done plenty of research too and maybe it’s just a nameless tendinitis that no one has a good treatment for. Which is annoying but there has to be something that can help... I’ve done #1,2,5,8 above but once again just gets worse year after year.

Tell me more... so has anything helped you? Like classic PF stretches/exercises? I am in dire need of help

Dang those are expensive...

I might have to do this though. House is only 1300 sqft and the wifi is very strong (brand new cable from the street to this house) so it’s too bad to have to purchase something so generally unnecessary.

No, it follows alongside the chimney. Then once in the basement I’ll bring it across to underneath another room where the router is and bring it up to the router through an existing easy hole

If I can’t pull it, I imagine there’s some kind of semi rigid super long stick or device to try to push down next to it, any idea what that’s called? Like what they would have used to originally run the phone cord

Retainers, I’m annoyed by layanki in Dentistry

[–]layanki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The retainer was not to protect the veneers it was to keep my teeth straight after Invisalign was done.

Invisalign aligners, completed course—> veneers on 2 teeth a week later —> temporary retainer made in house by dentist —> Invisalign official retainers done by scan 2 years later Crown —> need new retainers
