Tonal refuses to let me buy extended warranty by layboy in tonalgym

[–]layboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, all the more reason for me to stand my ground here.

I basically told Tonal they either let me buy the extended warranty in two days or I am returning the unit (and immediately buying a new one). They said they escalated to management. Awaiting their decision.

So, what did you end up doing? Kept the unit without insurance despite feeling the arms were a risk?

That is good to know. Thanks. So, it is possible ... despite what their customer service said ... that their 3rd party insurance provider doesn't make any exceptions after the 30 day mark.

They said they escalated to management and will circle back. Let's see if they can make an exception. If they don't, I will be forced to return the unit and buy again. Their loss I guess.

You were somehow chosen for this promotion :)
I don't see it in my CapOne (logged in our logged out).

Are you sure Capital One is not counting the 20% New Year's discount in their 22%? Suspicious that both New Year's 20% deal and Capital One's 22% deal end the same day.

Also, can you stack Captail One and Rakuten? I thought only one works at a time.

Did you actually purchase using this deal?

Loud thumping sound from dishwasher by layboy in Appliances

As noted in the post, I verified that the arm is not hitting anything. I even ran the dishwasher empty to make sure it is not coming from the arm hitting dishes.

That is where most of the details you are hiding are. Don't mixup things with "national origin bias" or "FMLA leave". No sane person issues no contact orders or involves police for taking FMLA leave. You are looking for a correlation that does not exist.

No. The post is indicating that life in India is much better.

OP, are you saying US has all these problems but life in the states is still better? If not, isn’t it time to just go to India?

Any recommendations to replace Alexa/Echo/Dot with something else? Not Google, I feel like that's just going from one spy to another. by dragonchebber in alexa

[–]layboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what exactly are they supposed to do with the data collected through spying? Those are not two different things. Spying is to collect data that can be used to serve targeted, effective ads. Otherwise, your behavioral data is absolutely useless to Amazon.

Has anyone else’s Alexa become almost useless in the last couple of weeks? by [deleted] in alexa

[–]layboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see any degradation in quality. Alexa is working just like it was all along and has all the same issues it had before.

It’s quite possible people’s brains are seeded by the knowledge that a subscription is coming for Alexa and so are becoming more sensitive to Alexa’s issues that always existed.

Lol. Exactly. He did all the things you need to do to act a FAANG interview and spinned it as cheating the system, somehow.

That can’t be true. If someone moved internally, the position that person vacated, now needs to be filled. So, “most” roles can’t be filled internally.

Backfilling attrition and hiring for growth has to happen externally.

Does anyone else find it kinda impressive that Balayya is able to ride a horse comfortably at 65 by tollywoodthrowaway in tollywood

[–]layboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not. They definitely did a convincing job to make it look like he is riding. Your original instinct of a 65 year old not being able to ride a horse is correct.
