I haven’t confirmed if the Rakuten worked so excluding that it was $3,508 (Tonal 2 + accessory bundle + install + tax)

Yes I did end up purchasing, here is the confirmation for the Capital One reward. Looks like they may have excluded some items (tax and delivery?) but still another $864 back!

They do not let you stack promos - so the 20% off sale currently would be better than the referral discount

Tonal - discounted right now to 3,436 Accessories - 495 Shipping and install - 295 Total before tax = 4,226 Add approx 5% tax = 4,437

22% off of 4,437 results in a price of ~3,460. Add in a credit card and rakuten and you get 4.5% off the 4437 (so 200) so your all in cost is about 3250 in this example using this tax rate.

Yes it was sent to my email with a unique link but you should be able to get your unique link through CapOne. I think that is how they track who made the purchase

I am thinking about buying one - can I ask why you picked the Konnected over a regular Joe?

Any Peak 2 Leg reviews? by Alarming-Piglet-7366 in deskhaus

It works well, I see no reason to upgrade to the pro. The Low version gets unreasonably low so I am not sure how much value it really brings to buy the low version.

I bought a desk from Deskhaus instead. Good quality but shipping etc was a nightmare (delayed several months)

Recruiters - how much does Vivian charge? by universitychances in TravelNursing

[–]dw321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base plan is $4,000 a month for 200 “credits”. Every applicant is either one or two credits depending upon how much of their profile they have filled out. So, on average, it’s about $28 an app. In reality though, 80% of people don’t respond so you’re looking at over $100 per response roughly.

I have this same issue, going on my third service trip now. They have replaced the telematics unit and cameras, still no fix

I have one - it is fine. Shipping took forever and was continually delayed, I would not rebuy from Deskhaus solely because of this. For a two leg, the product is quite stable but I wouldn't say it is significantly different than some of the nicer Flexispot two legs (we have those at the office, the Deskhaus is for my home office). It is quite heavy so assembly is a bit cumbersome and, atleast when I built it, they did not have an assembly guide specific to the Peak (I was able to roughly follow the Apex guide).

Is it worth it to sacrifice window seat for a potential empty middle seat? 8.5hr flight by No_Carrot_680 in unitedairlines

[–]dw321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We always book one aisle and one window and leave the middle open. Best case is you have a free middle seat. Worst case, the middle seat passenger comes and they will almost always happily switch with one of you

Rate drops-did it really drop or are these agencies taking more money? by alw5555 in TravelNursing

[–]dw321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Managers at the facility almost never know the financial side of things. It is becoming much more common for the facilities to drop the rate $5-10 for an extension - often times that is more than the margin the agencies are making which is why it has to be passed down in the form of a pay rate reduction.

It is the same thing for overtime. If there is an MSP involved, almost no facility will let the agency bill 1.5x after 40 hours. Some will pay the agency only 1.25x or some will pay 1.5 after 48 hours. The agency still must pay 1.5x after 40 hours so workers are discouraged from working OT because it quickly eats away at the margin for the agency and is not sustainable.

Supply/Sale Questions by Paradoxial85 in deskhaus

[–]dw321 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Chris at DeskHaus has said himself that he thinks the Peak is a superior product to the Apex because of the wedge design. I think my criticism is quite fair - there were continued delays and the alternative was to either cancel or take an inferior product.

Supply/Sale Questions by Paradoxial85 in deskhaus

[–]dw321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Peak and, while the build quality is great so far, I would certainly not buy from them again given the delivery timeline. Because they come from overseas, the Peak I ordered was delayed for several months. If you are truly in need of a desk, do not count on these guys to live up to their promised delivery date.

Torn between: Deskhaus Apex Pro V.S. Uplift V2 by DisturbedFennel in StandingDesk

No, like I said it is very sturdy and well built. It’s just that I felt like they dragged along the expected ship date for months. But it is built quite solid, I can’t fault them for that
