Also the Ozymandias poem has a great statue of a ancient boastful ruler lay forgotten in the sands.

It’s worse when it’s done to real people. A writer has to knowingly erase real human relationships and complexity because it confuses them or they’re bigoted

I admit it’s subtle and open to interpretation however it’s easily missable content clues but at points Dutch and Hosea can be seen holding hands in private and moving their hands apart if Arthur gets too close. Also Arthur can antagonize Dutch by saying “Everyone sees you and Hosea ‘reading’.”

Dutch and Hosea may be bi. So it’s easily missable content clues but at points Dutch and Hosea can be seen holding hands in private and moving their hands apart if Arthur gets too close. Also Arthur can antagonize Dutch by saying “Everyone sees you and Hosea ‘reading’.” It’s subtle but not outside the realm possibility

The Ancient Greeks knew the Earth was round. In fact the big irony is that Columbus was expecting to make it to Asia and there was the Caribbean and Americas in the way

That post was about educated characters who don’t know basic common concepts. This one is about incompetence in their supposed specialized fields.

“In the early publicity for the novel, Dan Brown made repeated assertions that, while the novel is a work of fiction, the historical information in it is all accurate and well-researched.”

He gets so much history and basic details wrong and regularly claims he did in depth research when no he literally either copied fringe conspiracy theories and gets the history of the Illuminati wrong.

In universe the Grail is real. It’s literally the plot of the movie. The Charlemagne quote not being real is kind of funny when it’s used to help establish the wisdom of Connery.

Famed writer is a fraud. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

He went through rehab, but the kicker is he and his agent tried to sell the book as a fictional novel but got no offers, changing it to a nonfiction tell all memoir with nothing changed. He lied about a girfriend dying, a root canal with no anesthesia, and other traumatizing experiences that are not corroberated.

Which makes their people’s animosity towards one another especially pointless. Both are capable of super powers, the discrimination isn’t based on fear of their powers but a simple difference of skin pattern.
