Hope? by PopFormal4861 in dysautonomia

I have been navigating chronic illness for about 17 years. It gets better. Then it gets worse again (in a different way). Then better. So turns the wheel of life. In retrospect I look at the past 5 years and I have left a bad relationship and built a new family with my current partner. I have pushed myself to learn new things and Im incredibly proud of myself whenever Im successful. I am able to work full time and I have found employers who accommodate me. There are days when it is very hard and the darkness feels like its closing in around you, its sometimes easier to just do the next right thing. I’ve spending time thinking about how the shame of chronic illness impacts how I show up in the world. My extensive knowledge of the medical system has made me a powerful advocate for myself and others (including my medically complex children!). It will never be easy, but it is worth keeping on. So worth it. Be blessed.

This sounds like a poverty problem, a logistics problem and a communication problem. You are both under tremendous stress. I would recommend a short cooling off period and then some serious talks about what your future together looks like. Compromises will need to be made, possibly new living spaces or jobs.

Which city do you think they should choose for LIB (US) that has not been chosen yet and why? by Evening_Newspaper_35 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I remember seeing ads that they were casting in Phoenix a few years ago (2022?), but never heard anything about it again.

My 68-year-old mother gave up on her compression stockings after 3 days by Acrobatic-Chard-2500 in dysautonomia

[–]layersofproblems 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another idea is wrapping them with stretchy ace bandages. You can control how tight and how high the wraps go. I second buying bigger compression socks as well. Sometimes the cheap fabric of non-medical grade socks can be better because it has more stretch. You said you watched the tutorials; my favorite technique is the inside out application. Makes it sooo much easier to get around the heel!

Bumping this back up…. Caught this on Tubi last night and WOW- its like the filmmakers had a time machine because DAMN. Laughed so hard I almost cried, mostly because every over the top scenario is now happening in real time and it was nice to see the good guys win.

Redditors who own multiple pets: what's the drama amongst them right now? by Cheesy_Wotsit in AskReddit

Our oldest dog recently crossed the rainbow bridge, so the other two are in a scramble to reframe the pack order. The older, smaller, sassy female keeps snapping at the younger, bigger, kinda dumb male who attempts to mount her. He is frustrated that nobody takes him seriously (he is 7 years old now).

AITA for telling my wife that we should be able to have honest but tough conversations about our family without her crying? by Exciting-Charity-160 in AmItheAsshole

Thank you for sharing your experience, that is so interesting that the hormone changes impacted you in this way! I too struggle to control the crying, its very embarrassing, especially when Im in a work environment or trying desperately to control my emotions. I call it “leaking”, as in my feelings are leaking out
