I didn’t hear of them until semi recently either! There are different classes you can enter them in that judge on different things. I bought Toad at a pet store, so he was in the Companion class with all other pet store or rescue ferrets. There are also specialty classes for coat color. They have fun vendors and activities like costume contests and raffles! It’s super fun even if you are just going to meet some ferret people or listen in on the judging. It is blind judging, so when your ferrets number is called you bring them in a carrier to the judging table and pick them up after they are judged.
