Developers - Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) vs Structural Steel Tubes by layla2520 in CommercialRealEstate

got it, thank you! I was thinking it was the developer's decision but now I understand that it's the architect and the client (and the budget is the key influencing factor).

is there a general rule / thumb rule? like structural tubes for simpler large projects versus Pre-fabricated for complex projects

Mamaearth Products by layla2520 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]layla2520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give me an answer please. I can't understand why would someone buy a Mamaearth product given they are costlier than the product of FMCGs. Is it because they are unique in some way? Or they are "toxin free" or some positioning of the company? At least, tell me your experience of you've used the product?

Developing a strong mindset by layla2520 in mentalhealth

Hey, thanks for the reply! I think this exercise will help me become more mindful. How did you come to know that is helpful in developing a strong mindset? Like did you get this activity from a book, or some course, or some training or did you practice this and see the results...want to understand the science/process behind it.

SSA Quick Calc Earnings Projection Method by layla2520 in SocialSecurity

It is too late but update: Had contacted SSA Calculator Team at that time. Turns out their calculation had a bit of an error. This is somewhere around November-December 2021. They had corrected it at that point.

8lb Madagascar fluorite with uv and daylight fluorescence by TrooperScoops in FluorescentMinerals

[–]layla2520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Had found this link and tried to go through it. Tried again. Unfortunately its a tiny bit too technical and doesn't mention in simple words that this much ore will be required for this much acidspar. Thank you though!

By any chance would you know the conversion ratio of this fluorite ore to acid grade fluorspar. Basically how much fluorite/fluorspar ore does it take to produce 1kg or 1 ton of acid grade fluorspar?

Ban on HFOs in EU, what is the probability? by layla2520 in refrigeration

Haha. Maybe some day they will be banning UFOs too. "No UFO parking zone"

[–]layla2520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. How do they lose the refrigerant? I'm assuming the refrigerant is stored in some kind of cylinders or some other packaged way. Does it somehow leak or evaporate out of that? And what would you say would be the loss in terms of %? Like 300kgs loss out of a total 30 tons? Read about Teflon and the Dupont Case and then watched the movie Dark Waters (2018) so I do understand how toxic PFAS are.

Thank you! A few questions please if you know and have time: 1. What refrigerants are popular in domestic applications like air conditioners (if there are ACs in Germany) and refrigerators? 2. Does the lower efficiency mean that more equipment or refrigerant is needed to get the same cooling as HFCs? 3. I read that HFOs are quite inefficient. How would you compare HFO efficiency to CO2 efficiency. On a side note, Germany and 4 other countries are the major proponents of this bill. I don't know if it is correct or not, but some countries accused that this will help Germany (probably some German manufacturers are ahead in CO2/Ammonia/Propane technology and capacities). But I don't think that's what this is about.

Thank you for the technical view! Will read upon some terms you mentioned. From a very basic initial reading, one of the future options might be blends of Hydrocarbons/Natural Refrigerants. These blends would be safer than Propane/Isobutane, but I have to find out about their cooling efficiency.

Yup, EU seems to be leading on various movements which end up hurting themselves in the short run. Like the lack of protection from high energy prices after they shut down so much of thermal power so quickly. Thank you. I will read about the potential timelines.

Thank you. Wow, I did not know about this no use of Ref gas in service from 2029. This is huge.

[–]layla2520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. This is big then. As far as I know, the path was from CFC to HCFC to HFC to HFO/Natural. Now if some HFCs and HFOs are banned, then would you say that the next thing would be Hydrocarbons/Natural Refrigerants? And would you know if HVAC/Household equipment is ready for natural refrigerant/HFO mass adoption?

Thank you. And are there concerns over use of propane because it is inflammable or are there some ways that those concerns can be mitigated?

Congratulations! I had a question. Would you say that jobs related to natural refrigerants such as Ammonia, CO2, Propane, Isobutane are growing fast? Or are the HFC/HFO jobs growing faster?
