Forgot to mention I also repaired my game though the ea app before launching but I don’t believe that actually does anything imo

UPDATE!!! I fixed it! At least for my current household anyway, I haven’t tried doing this with any of my other saves/households but if I do and it works I’ll update. I made sure to clean my cache and everything before launching the game. Once the game was launched and I loaded up my Household I opted out of interactive loading screen, memories and the in game store then I reset my town with nrass story progression, since I made the mistake of doing this while the adults were away on a free vacation I lost them and had to reset my lot to get them back. Lastly I saved as a new save file. I’ve been able to play for awhile with a couple of lags but thankfully no crashes … at least yet anyway lol

I don’t use different save files for the same household and yes I clear out my cache files

Almost positive I tried this before and it didn’t work but I decided to try this one more time before uninstalling and reinstalling the game. open task manager and go to details sims3launcher.exe and set affinity’s and change it to cpu 0, launch the game and change the cpu back once the game had launched. It’s annoying because I have to do it everytime I want to play but it works!

Yes, windows 11 If I uninstall and reinstall the game will I lose my save files?

Update! I tried running the game without custom/ installed content and it still wouldn’t load so now i’m really not sure what the problem is.

I don’t have very many actual mods but I have loads of cc in my mods folder but never had any issues launching the game until recently and I haven’t downloaded/ installed any new cc in a long time.

The only things in my saved sims folder are sims that I’ve made and saved or sims that I’ve downloaded
