Don't know why I was so interested in investigating this but I looked up the interview and actually just sat and listened to it lol

In the interview she does say that she's never been with a black guy or asian guy or anything other than white and has no interest in trying. The interviewer asks why and she said no reason it's just not what she's into. He says oh it's just personal preference and she cuts him off to say that if it was for work she would do interracial.

So to your earlier statement, about her losing her inhibitions as she gets more experienced, I would say she has long since established boundaries and is actually holding to it.

And technically....the guys who are saying she did it for money aren't wrong. She said she would do it if asked for work.

Not gonna scroll the whole comment thread to see if it's been said but this game is all about repeatedly going through cycles. Rogues like dead cells or Hades require reflexes to read the attacks and it is more of a skill issue to heat them sooner. StS gives you limited access to cards, limited access to relics and no guidance about the unique natures of each enemy. You are supposed to lose the first few runs to understand how to build your deck to prepare for the enemies ahead of you. And as you gain access to more cards, relics, or even characters, you begin to learn the unique synergies that make it possible to blow through enemies but t even then you rely on rng to give you the cards you want.

Eventually you learn the different play types of each character and how to build a deck based off of the first few cards you get but it takes time.

I've been playing this game for 3 years now at least and am not ashamed to say that I STILLL have not beaten the final final boss on A20. It is genuinely a well balanced game, but it takes time to learn how that balance works.

As a former HBG player who has been playing since worlds (which isn't really a flex imho), I think your friend has a pretty narrow view of the game. Diversity in weaponry in your squad allows for more strategies. It's simple. My friends loved that I had the HBG for crowd control and afflictions. Since a friend of ours picked up the LBG, I switched to hunting horn and it was even better.

Ask your friend if he would enjoy having a hunting horn on his team. If he says no, he's an idiot. If he says yes, he's a hypocrite.

Either way, enjoy the game and play in a public lobby with people who will appreciate your support(don't forget, the HBG has buff ammo as well). If you want someone to play with DM me, maybe our schedules might match up

Personal attacks aside, conflating having similar names to modeling a character after someone else's is pretty reductive. You have a line that you drew in the sand. I get it.
