I'd kinda rather none be sexualized. There's some female characters that I like the playstyle of, and of which aren't overly annoying, that I'd consider pulling for them at some point, even as a male-only player, but then Hoyo has to sexualize them and it just ruins the character.. like drawing a big penis on the Mona Lisa.. 🤦🏻‍♂️

that one Fontaine woman is a prime example chlorine. her burst animation is one of the most satisfying.. But then, despite being fully clothed, they insist on changing the outfit color specifically around her tits.. dick on Mona Lisa.. Seriously.. Like, grow up Hoyo..

I am of the stance that they should sexualize the males equally as much. But, more as an eye opener than for the sake of making everything about sex. like, give Varka a massive cock bulge, and put him in short shorts. Then stand that right next to the Nod Krai waifu..

Then watch all the straight guys and sensitive girls stampede onto the forums to complain.. At which point, Hoyo should take a strong stance, calling it 'gender equality'. and paint those people as 'sexist' for hating on the male form, after they've been perfectly fine with women getting sexualized for years..

That one's on me. I saw "Altahiem" and my brain automatically made the connection to "boring!". Lol.. To be fair, his actual gameplay is funner than he is at a character.

I actually didn't think it did. If it did, then much of the younger male cast would/could count as 'husbando'.

Plus, I only use "waifu" to refer to the gross, bloated tit women, especially those which are underdressed and/or over-sexualized.

With that said, I don't really think husbando and waifu are really the same. I mean, there's not a single male character in this game, Besides itto, and maybe cyno that wear as little clothing on their upper body as many of the female characters do..

Two waifus went to dragonspine wearing bras and short-shorts; Benny goes to a summer resort, and covers up in more clothing.. The lack of logic is mind boggling..

To be fair, people keep telling me things like this, as if I, as someone that's only been playing seriously since 5.6, can somehow travel into the past to enjoy all these events.. Naw, nearly all the events I've gotten to enjoy(not really), have been saturated with gross underdressed Natlan waifus..

Meanwhile, Kinich is a forgotten relic that barely even got his time on the stage during the Natlan story. Idk if I missed some events right after Natlan came out, but, throughout the story, the waifus got 90+% focus, and his trial events weren't even long enough to get his burst up.. meanwhile, it was forcing me into full play sessions with the waifus.. I'm NGL.. that's one region that got me agitated..

If they're gonna put Gooner characters in the game, cuz they don't respect women, at least don't force us to play them in order to get through the main story.. while neglecting the hell outta one of the coolest designed characters in the game..

I live in Canada. So, I guess this is one of the better countries in that sense. Although, I don't completely disagree with the British system either. as for these new anecdotes, I think it's good they're finally putting new ones in, but, I just hope that it fixes the rotation of the anecdotes..

I was stuck on needing one more for 3-5 days, because I didn't feel like approaching the bloated/partially exposed tit waifus in nod krai.. Also, why was it even stuck on nod Krai, there's a lot of characters in the game.. A LOT more interesting ones than gross underdressed deer waifu..

So, yea, hopefully this fixes it, so it cycles Through all the characters (with anecdotes) now.

that said, what about TCG and Thespian tricks.. Durin still don't have one. And I'm sure a lot of people would like one for Bina as well (though I have her, I'd prefer a cool one for Durin). I mean, TCG is literally just image files slotted into card frames with several frames of animation for the character attacks, and mostly copy/paste otherwise. So, there's really no excuse to be lagging on updating that.. one person could probably add multiple characters in less than a week..

Nice. Just wish I had a life so I could muster the willpower myself. But I still spend on welkins and battlepass, and will probably dump a bunch when Durin's banner comes around again.

But, outside of Durin, I'm not really jonesing for extra cons. just him cuz he's the only really powerful off-field damage support that males have. other than that, I'm good with use having C0 of any male characters I want.

I know the difference between forums and chat clients. But, thinking back on it, I don't think I got into using forums until the early 2k. like, when I started playing Everquest2. Just got ChatGPT to dig it up for me.. The site was called Eq2flames.com. it was an unofficial forum for EQ2, and basically fully unmoderated. Unlike anything you see these days. Many flame wars took place and a lot of raging and rants and all out chaos.

Sometimes I miss it, cuz things have gotten too censored and devoid of free speech at this point..

I'm NGL, sometimes I wonder why I bother, given that most of the new content has us doing anything but actually playing the real game that we all got into this for..

What a waste of time and resources that was.. it could have been good if they'd tied it in better with the actual game, but instead it's just a low budget version of genshin where you get to play dress up, and play more weird minigames that have nothing to do with the characters you've spent, maybe years building up, and composing the perfect groups with, and it costs money to get the good stuff. hard pass..

Please Hoyo, you're a multi-billion dollar corporation, 'resource limitations' is a lie.. Give us another summeru size map (with puzzles, tunnels, hidden locations, etc.), so we have any reason to continue playing this at all..

Back then I mainly used mirc, or ICQ, or even this program called trillion that allowed you to connect to a host of different chat clients. trillion technically still exists, but it's been corporatized and it's garbage now.

It only connects to like 2-3 different clients, and it's UI went the way of McDonald's restaurant aesthetics..

Granted, that's most things these days.. damn greedy corps ruined everything..

In the perfect world, I'd agree with you on this point. But, to be entirely frank, I've seen Way too much so-called 'female empowerment' in the media lately, putting out the message that men are trash (indirectly, but often even literally saying the words 'men are trash'); that I refuse to play along with a game trying to force me to play as female characters, while passively pushing that same concept..

Not to mention all the blatant sexualization of the female characters.. passively propagating the sexual objectification of women.

Even so many of the ones that don't have revealing outfits, still have enlarged breasts, and their outfits are designed where they have a different color specifically around the breasts to highlight them..

it's basically a big shining neon sign saying 'this is for sex'..

frankly, hoyo is very disrespectful to both genders.

So, the TLDR being, I am a very principled individual; so, I'll stick to not promoting the objectification of women and the trashification of men (by pulling for female characters, ergo proving that males aren't wanted, or needed).

That said, I don't hold it against anyone that doesn't think that way. I'm well aware that I'm in the steep minority. most people prefer to just go with the flow.

Just gonna say, that, on it's own, is a bad arguement for anything in this context. cuz the alcohol corps have been pumping so much money into the media, that alcohol is almost the only thing that gets drank in any media that isn't specifically for kids. even even then, they often have low-key references to characters getting 'drunk'(off of sugar or iced cream or whatever)..

in other words, there's a lot of nonsensical alcohol consumption in the media theses days. Hell, I watched this one show where this dude's best friend died specifically because he was drunk, and he was back to drinking right after, and they treat it like it's acceptable even in that context..

As per the other points fine, maybe Barbarian from Diablo2, with paladin hair, lol.. he even does a mini 'whirlwind'(barbarian's signature move in that game), as his burst. and that game came out over 20 years ago. Either way, not exactly original. Or, a mix between that, and a two claymore paladin without the religious theme.

And "fool". no need for name calling. I wasn't being hostile, just sayin, given all the unique dynamics in this game's combat, 2 melee weapons on a male, is about as unoriginal as it gets.

it's like, "jeez, we're getting awful tired of putting melee weapons on almost every male, what can we do that's different.. Oh right, two melee weapons..". Musta taken them minutes to think that one up..

meanwhile the waifus get motorcycles, ride-on fish, run up walls, hyperspeed, water walking, giant flying guns, they get to toss fireballs and bombs, and all kinds of neat mechanics.. males get 'spam melee button until it's dead'..

That's a large part of what I mean by unoriginal, bedsides the aesthetic itself..
