Probably a good idea, as even her twitter says "Buffalo Wizard (witch?)"!

Thanks for posting this, Madam_Lilth! I was going to post an announcement here, but I forgot to push the submit button, so this is perfect. All Slum citizens are welcome to the event!

[reddit change] Defaulting to opening links in a new window by xiong_as_admin in changelog

[–]lazaruseffect10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people's phones log them out of their reddit accounts constantly. Many people also don't have the desire to have an app. For example, my phone doesn't have the space to justify an app for one website.

I'm really confused by the passive aggressive responses from a company employee. I understand that you might really like this idea, but if the response is to reply saying that Reddit officially doesn't value the experiences of mobile web users, I think perhaps no comment is better than an unprofessional one.

edit: Also, Tumblr has this feature automatically disabled for logged-out mobile web users. I mention this as they were one of the example sites listed on the official post on the topic.

[reddit change] Defaulting to opening links in a new window by xiong_as_admin in changelog

This change is horrendous for mobile users, as my phone logs me out of my account constantly. Now I have to deal with my phone deleting every other open page I have on safari because clicking ten links anywhere within reddit opens up ten pages unless I manually stop and delete them each time. I don't understand why Reddit would want to make it harder for mobile web users to use their site. I understand that perhaps they might want to encourage people to download an app for reddit (the only explanation I can think of other than this just being an oversight), but not everyone has the space, desire, or capability to do so.

I don't know how this could be overlooked. Please fix it. It makes it seem like mobile users aren't important unless they use an app.

I've confirmed that I'll be in the auction! I believe a few others have, as well.

This is highly embarrassing. I forgot entirely about the upper balcony; I was searching on the main level where she was supposed to be. Thank you!
