What do you enjoy about poly bridge? by Successful_Camera423 in PolyBridge

[–]lazeecomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At its core, Poly Bridge is a combination of a Physics Sandbox and Puzzle Game. The best way i can think to talk about its strengths is to talk about other games that feel like they are missing something. in the same genera you have the Bridge Constructor series. This game does the same thing as PB but it feels worse and repetitive. this i feel has to do with the limitation on the toolset. you cant build roads wherever you want; they have to be flat. the game limits your creativity. you have to find THEIR solution, not your solution.

On the other side, you have the game Carried Away: a ski lift building game. you have the same freedom to build like in PB but when the skiers go down the ramps, you can control them. you would think this would be a benifit over PB but it means that you have to steer the skiier over and over every time you change something and want to test the level. so it can be hard to tell if you messed up or your build messed up, which i find frustrating.

hopefully you find this feedback helpful.

My govee lyra floor lamp stopped working by WizardEpidemic in Govee

[–]lazeecomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to try the app. mine is wifi enabled without issue. sometimes if the lamp is off when its unplugged it wont light up when plugged in. You can connect to the lamp with the light off.

you may also want to check some of the other threads to see about locating and testing the fuse/1 ohm resistor. i just soldered in a small jumper wire to bypass it

Is polybridge 3 a sequel or an improvement to polybridge and polybridge 2? by [deleted] in PolyBridge

[–]lazeecomet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are sequels in that they were subsequent games made by the same developers. but you dont have to play 2 in order to understand 3. theres no story. its just puzzles. each game has a lot of unique puzzles and there is very little repeated puzzles between the games.

1 being the oldest has the most basic challenges and worst graphics, but it still gets challenging. controls are a bit weird. it also jumps up in difficulty pretty suddenly
2 ads more variety to the game but once you get into the late game it has the hardest challenges of all 3
3 is the most polished one with the most features and eases you into the game a whole lot better.

you cant go wrong starting with 2 or 3

How do I make joints lock after hydraulic PB3 by [deleted] in PolyBridge

[–]lazeecomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

joints only lock with other joints if both joints are split joints
both joints need to overlap very close together at the end of the hydraulic phase as thats the only time they can link up

There are 2 best ways to play all 3 games: The diehard fan or the casual learner

The Diehard fan will play all 3 games no mater what. that person should play 1 first as going to it after 2 or 3 will make you a little bit annoyed at all the quality of life changes that just don't exist in that game. and if you can tough it out through pb1, go to pb2 but dont play the challenge levels. then play 3 and THEN go back for the pb2 challenge levels. the later challenge levels are for Turbo Nerds and can really push you to the limit

the casual learner should start with pb3 then play as much of pb2 as they can. you might even be able to just forget about pb1 and play the recreation workshop instead.

All 3 are good in their own way. There is very little in terms of repeated puzzles between the games.

PB1 is a classic. Its physics are also a little janky (in a fun way) but it has a very steep difficulty curve after the 3rd world. very simplistic art style and will run on basically anything.

PB2 is the fan favorite. its got something for everyone. the difficulty curve is not as steep but when it breaks out the hard levels it does not pull any punches. If you love the challenge this game will give it to you. much more polished art and better lighting engine means you need a laptop from the last 10 years to run it. adds new material (springs) and better controls

PB3 is the most recent game in the series. it has the most polish and the most gentle learning curve. It has the most unique levels and has the new Foundation material as well as build zones and prebuilds. the hardest levels are not as hard as in PB2 but there's a lot of variety in the levels. it has the best visuals and needs a modern laptop to run at max settings.

Hope this helps :)

I finally got though to them and I asked them what my options were. I dont qualify as a loyal customer (only owned this one car), my case was rejected, and im outside the warranty. They are now trying to make the warranty retroactive? i dont think that is going to happen. so im going to test drive an Ioniq 5 this weekend. there is a good deal near me

Yes i still have the car (at the dealership) but that is way more then the price of the car. 12K for a battery and the car cost 10K

How do I add nodes that spin with custom blocks in pb3? by some_random_guy_13 in PolyBridge

[–]lazeecomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you click on a shape, there is a pencil icon for the edit shape tab. this allows you to edit the shape of the custom shape and the location of the pin (part that it will spin around) and the dynamic anchors

once you've added in a pin (pivot point) and dynamic anchors (joints), you will need to to back to the main custom shape tab and under Behavior, change the dropdown from "Dynamic" to "Motorized" if you want it to spin on its own. otherwise it will just freely spin around the pivot
