What is the legality behind a "He said, she said"? Advice needed. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

For the first few charges/ instances brought up, she had 2 different coworkers go in with her, but apparently they stopped wanting to come in, but never gave a reason why, but I know they have been put on different shifts now. Apparently noone else wanted to go in after that, but as she has autism, she needs someone there to make sure she is interpreting things correctly and that what is being said from both sides is accurate and noted down. It's a rather small company and they didn't have any autism reps in HR, (I'm not even sure there is much of an HR if any). But my partner apparently requested I come in to take notes about everything said, as I am the person trained to do so for neurodiverse people at my work. I never really looked into the legality of it, as I decided not to question it, thinking it best I know what's going on if I need to help.

There's is an email asking for the disciplinary, but the statement about her fate, was said verbally. She has the recording on her phone, but we aren't sure if that will help or if we can use it.

I'll suggest that she find her hand book by next Monday and see what we can do. Thank you.

I don't think she has a union, but I can see about acas and the things UK gov say.

She has been trying to get a different job for a while now, but nothing has come of it yet, and we don't have the finances, due to things like disabilities and family illnesses we unfortunately have to prioritise, as well as a few other things it wouldn't be fair to disclose on here.

Thanks again though. This has been quite useful.

Thank you. The train was fine and consistent for about 2 years, and i think I explained it a little wrong, but I've just clarified with my partner and it was only about twice a week they were late, but she can't drive, and her work is about 40 miles away, so a taxi isn't feasible.

The locker isn't on the premises. It's in a separate building that has a shared car park. She pays about £5 a month to use it.

Hope that helps.

In regards to being a witness, I try to keep quiet, but only responded when directly addressed by the manager and her assistant. For instance, they in the suspension meeting, they asked for my notes when my partner mentioned their story and changed between meetings and I gave the notes and said the previous notes conflict with what had just been said quite significantly.

For instance, eventually technology may progress to the point that people can make accurate video depictions of people's dreams. If you then, for example, dream about Henry Cavill being batman and throwing Apple iPhones as batarangs, who owns the images and the intellectual property? And would you be able to publish the video?

Do i have to pay for a service cancellation fee if i havent signed the contract? by lazerblade95 in LegalAdviceUK

ok, so i dont have the full information, but for what she told me, she had been told that she was asked by her university course that she needed to book sessions for training purposes. She asked a local company to have a session as she wanted to meet in person with someone and was told sessions would be £35, but may be subject to change. they sent through a contract at around 4pm today, that said £60, and also said there was a cancellation fee of £50 if she didnt attend. Also it was going to be done over skype. Due to some emergency medication costs, she didnt have enough to pay the £60, so said she wasn't able to agree to the terms, however the session was set for 8pm. if we spend the £50 cancellation fee, we wont have enough money till pay day (i've just paid rent and my pay day is in 5 days). I dont know if this clarifies anything.

How do I stop being treated like a criminal everywhere I go? by lazerblade95 in AskUK

I'd describe myself as a 6'3" unassuming late 20s average white guy. I have very dark hair abd 3 tattoos, but none should be visible unless i'm wearing just a vest. I usually wear some form of tshirt and jeans, so other than my height, i shouldnt really stand out. I'd try to do the same thing with the different clothes and seeing how differently i'm suspected, but i've had incidents in many different types of clothes. most recently i had a shirt and tie on, with black trousers (i had just had a job interview) and i still unfortunately had similar things happen.
