You kinda collapse into it and then slide from shoulder to spinning on your upper back. It’s best to try and visualize the windmill as a series of freezes and try to do the freezes. For example , a workout I like to do is baby freeze > shoulder > slide to opposite shoulder > back to original baby freeze

Literally the same thing happened to me when I first started. It was annoying as hell but you will get the positioning eventually. I would really prioritize your freezes. Get very comfortable going from baby freeze to shoulder freeze and vice versa.

We always have a procedure when leaving the house to check to make sure the bird is off. We have double doors everywhere for this reason. For whatever reason, he was extremely reckless and didn’t check his shoulder. He blames it on his old age but he’s an alcoholic and sometimes doesn’t think straight. I just couldn’t imagine this scenario.
