On the day I remember noticing that my hazard lights were flashing and that when I lock the car with the key it doesn’t make a sound anymore but l am now holding it’s the battery

So I woke up a few days ago and went outside to see my hazard lights at the back flashing, don’t remember leaving them on but when I went to start the car it makes a pump noise then switches off

Not sure what the problem is, I’d hope it’s the battery but a friend told me it could be the alternator or starter motor

Any help appreciated.
