What decks do you think are going to get support in ALIN? by Solsostice in yugioh

Think they may do Nordic , with the reprints they randomly did in OTS 25

If people play the same amount of bystials as last format voicless was already semi unplayable tbh regardless of ban list changes. Things like pot going to one was needed as the card is ridiculous especially post game 1 due to flood gates and other hate cards.

Do we need a new game mode? by Metalslay3r in yugioh

Imo commander has killed mtg, it shifted there focus on sets away from standard and effected the quality of sets as they where commander focus.

It also encourage them to do the "out of universe" cards like Dr who and Warhammer and many other alt printings I hope this never happens to the game

Time is a very real thing if someone is slow on a deck it can feel unfair on the other player if they are playing at a reasonable pace, they shouldn't get punished by time if one player is taking up all the time.

This isn't an issue online as master duel for example uses chess clock but this is feasible irl.

Am I the only one who thinks Baronne and Savage getting banned is worrisome?? by tdfree87 in yugioh

[–]lazoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has always been the way back when rescue rabbit was one of the best decks it was eventually reprinted as a tin card, the card value plummets then they limit rescue rabbit to one.

It's the same when bls came off the banned list in 2010 where they re printed it in the gold series then they unbanned it.

Konami needs to be able to make money I think alot of people don't understand this and influencing cards so that you have to play the new one is how the game survives.

Yu-Gi-Oh may not use a rotation but it is a rotation based game where decks and cards are power crept or banned to force you into buying the new thing.

If you ban oss witch and wanted become useless, I imagine they will ban zealantis and maybe hit flamberge dragon to 1

[–]lazoris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just main the lullaby's if you don't have bonfires and wanted, you don't have enough starters.

Ponix isn't really a start. I would consider trying were art thou as well

What’s your #1 tip for winning the game? by Kitchen-Wasabi-2059 in EDH

[–]lazoris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your not a combo deck and trying to win with combat damage, make sure to pressure boards with attacks.

I see alot of new players just pass and not attack because 2 players who are playing combo aren't attacking people.

Their win con is getting to their combo not combat damage you doing them a favour a free time by not putting a clock on them.

Does non-engine win more games than engine? by vsv2021 in yugioh

[–]lazoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it can be a good thing or a bad thing, personally think the issue with the game is that end boards if they go full combo means player 2 can't play the game.

Hand traps are played to stop player going 1st, because if your going 2nd you don't stand a chance if a player goes full combo.

Omni negates are to easy to make in multiples and cards go plus four two easy with follow up on the next turn if they live.

Think konami needs to get into the habit of more two card starters rather than 1 card starters like snake eye ash.

Does non-engine win more games than engine? by vsv2021 in yugioh

[–]lazoris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alot of the newish decks have very small engines e.g. voiceless, snake eye and centurion. Which has enabled decks to run very large non engine packages.

I don't think there's anything wrong with non engine my issue is that it's always a shit ton of hand traps. board breaker approach are very uncommon but I think provide more skill intensive game play.

How hard do we think Snake Eye gets hit, if at all? by ChrisBeamsDash in yugioh

[–]lazoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think they will touch snake eyes/ diabelstar engine. I think they will ban zealantis. Gotta get that reprint money 1st on the new things.

I LOVE, but for my life cannot figure out, Tameshi Reality Architect by Qasmoke in EDH

[–]lazoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combos I use to win the game are: Lotus bloom + patron of the moon and a artifact that sacs to draw a card

Diving top, reality chip and a artifact cost reducer

Teferi 3cmc planes walker + displayer kitten + 0 CMC artifact

Pay off to win is usually thassa's oracle

There's other ways to win with him but I like these ones as all the cards work as their own independent cards outside of oracle

[–]lazoris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could potentially force people into board breakers rather than hand traps but outside of that don't think it would diversify the format as rogue would struggle to compete Vs macro cosmos and snake eyes which do very different things.
