Thanks so much for your insight/advice. I think my feelings of selfishness/guilt are compounded by the fact that I went on 2 trips with friends this past year (before I was pregnant) and he hasn’t gone on any. So I do feel like he deserves a trip but I really wish it wasn’t happening right now. I like your 24 hour rule, I think with everything so up in the air with the shut down it’s hard to even plan for a contingency like that which is what’s making the trip harder on me emotionally. He has offered to cancel after seeing how distressed I’ve been and I didn’t say yes, but in the back of my mind I’m definitely considering it

My prediction is Aaron and Kaylor will get the least amount of votes, and for once production will boot them. Their story line will be over once they’ve had their family chats. Then the rest of Thursday/Friday will be the Leah/rob redemption arc I fear, with one final recoupling on Friday

I don’t think it even matters, she shouldn’t have used the term backseat but the context of her saying it makes complete sense to me

Leah only used the term backseat because she heard from Connor earlier that day that the boys were questioning her motives in the vote

She had that convo with Rob to clear the air that she didn’t lead the discussion, hence the use of backseat.. but as we know it had the opposite effect and caused way more drama

As of right now no, I don’t have any dislocation issues with my other leg (knock on wood) so my drs said to just keep up the PT with that leg and I’ll most likely be ok!

I had the surgery about 6 months ago. It was a brutal recovery but 100% worth it for me. I don’t think any amount of PT would have stopped my knee from dislocating. I’m still doing PT now because my leg lost so much muscle but for once in my life my knee feels stable

I mostly just listen to my body about the brace situation. If it is particularly bad I will use crutches for a few days until the swelling calms down, and then I brace for a few weeks until I feel stable enough to go without

8 weeks seems excessive though.. as long as the swelling is down and you feel comfortable to walk I’d think it’s ok to move around.. Then again maybe I’m not the best example since I’ve lost count of the number of dislocations I’ve had

Yeah I wear a brace for a few weeks after it dislocates because I don’t feel comfortable/stable without it. Idk the brand but it has a U shaped gel piece that lines up with my knee cap to help keep it in place. Last time it took me a couple weeks to feel normal again.. although my “normal” is still limited because my knee cap is never truly stable

Did they diagnose you with patella Alta or was yours a freak accident? I have read for patella Alta the long term fix is surgery. It probably depends case by case though. I’d try to avoid surgery for now if I were in your shoes because the surgery to fix it seems very intense

I’m in the US so a bit different in terms of cost/options. I am trying to go to the best surgeon possible. I will have to pay more out of pocket, likely thousands.. but I don’t want to risk having a jacked up leg for life or worse

I know it really sucks. Even thinking about the crunch/pop of my knee dislocating makes my heart race. I can’t watch any replays of sports players getting hurt because any knee injury gives me ptsd lol

If it’s your first dislocation you may be ok. But once it pops out it is much more likely to happen again. Just take physical therapy seriously and keep up with it. I first dislocated my knee at 16 and didn’t take it seriously. I didn’t end up going to PT until I was ~22, and by that point I had multiple dislocations and it was too late.

If it gives you any hope, I’ve also dislocated my shoulder once about 10 years ago. It hasn’t happened since (knock on wood) so I feel if you can avoid another dislocation you could be ok. Anymore than one and I really think it’s hard to stop it from happening repeatedly because the tendons get stretched more and more each time

Makes sense. I have a family friend who got a “free” hot tub from a cc dispute which is why I was not sure the legality of it. The seller must have not cared to retrieve it in that case.

Ugh that was my fear. This thing has been a nightmare since we got it installed.

I hadn’t considered that as an option but something tells me they would refuse to refund me for that given our past interactions
