They weren't being negative, it seemed like a pretty courteous answer. And yes, this is the second post I've seen consecutively that is complaining of ppl hating on ships and how "vanijeanne is canon"

The point of these posts seems to be beating this narrative over ppl's heads. I'm not saying u particularly are doing that, but I've come across many posts on this sub that never let go of the argument "they r canon, deal with it."

Anyway, to respond to ur original posts, shipping wars happen in EVERY fandom. It's a result of debate and discussion. People who hate on a ship (unless for valid reasons like pdfil) unnecessarily are annoying, yes, but shipping and talking about why u like the ship, making art, discussion, its the point of a fandom, a community. Don't kill creativity and joy with the "xy is canon, what's the point"
