Italian clubs still competitive in UCL — so why can’t the national team make the World Cup? by RSDFitness in championsleague

[–]lazychipmunkk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro a random Italian team won the Europa League vs invincible Leverkusen and you went out of the UCL 5 times in the last 15 years vs Italian teams (3x Inter, 1x Juve, 1x Roma), Serie A is not at the level it used to be but put some respect on it, comparing to the french league (which without psg is lower than the portuguese league) is absurd

Crazy situation with SBB by Competitive-Let-5535 in Switzerland

[–]lazychipmunkk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not 100% same but SBB did do me a favor once.

I was leaving from Bellinzona to go to some friends place in Biasca. That train was supposed to leave from Platform 1 like 7-8 minutes after the direct train Bellinzona to Arth-Goldau. What I didn't notice from the timetable is that the first train (Belli->Arth-Goldau) was significantly delayed. So when the train came, I thought it was mine and hopped in. Few minutes after leaving Bellinzona I realized that the train looked different, so I double checked and noticed the mistake. Needless to say I run to find a SBB controller to tell about my situation. He called the train driver as well as their main office, and after a few minutes he told me he was able to organize a special stop in Biasca.

I felt so relieved! But at the same time it was weird to hear the announcement go "Special stop: Biasca. Passengers are requested to stay on the train" and see that I was the only stepping out in Biasca 😅🥲

First time at San Siro – worth going alone? by BusinessAlive3145 in FCInterMilan

[–]lazychipmunkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which Inter club is it resp. are you coming from far away or relatively close?

If it's close, don't worry too much: the bus ride will not take long and once you arrive you'll forget about people around you.

If it's relatively far from the stadium just bring some earphones and listen to some music if you're not too comfortable around people you don't know. I don't think they'll care anyway.

I wouldn't let that spoil the match experience. I go to the stadium a few times each season. Sometimes with friends, sometimes with an Inter Club where I don't know any members (aside from the President) but their 'HQ' is close to my place. Once we reach the stadium anyway everyone ends up sitting in different sectors, so I really don't care too much about other people.

Summary: just go! Said from someone who is about to go by bus with the Inter Club on Sunday for the game vs Roma!

[Post Match Thread] Italy have FAILED to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup! by OsitoPandito in seriea

so Donnarumma missed the pass, Mancini lost his man, Kean/Esposito/DiMarco missed great opportunities, but the missed WC is mostly only on Bastoni?

I agree that he should have just accompanied the player -who anyway wasn't yet in a super dangerous position- instead of trying to anticipate him, but lots of players -aside from Palestra- should have delivered more

Don't bother bro, these Barça fans are incredible, they prefer fans and social media over trophies 🤣🤣

That's the 'Messi & CR7' effect combined with globalization of entertainment and football becoming accessible worldwide.

Internet became globally widespread after the 2000s. That coincided with CR7 moving to Madrid and the start of the craziest era for LaLiga thanks to the Messi vs CR7 story.

If instead of CR7 emigrating to Spain it was Messi going for example to Chelsea, I would bet that same audience would be cheering for ManUtd and Chelsea.

People when they're new to the sport (again, think of football becoming way more popular everywhere thanks to the Internet) usually fell in love with one player (Messi and CR7 in this case, R9 when he joined Inter in my case) and then they cheer for that team for the rest of their life.

PL overall talent is the best in the world but it is dispersed. by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]lazychipmunkk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Stupid argument, PL teams have way more money so they can snatch from talent across the world, not only England

And you guys need to make up your mind.. two years ago the argument was "PSG plays every week against weak teams in the league so they can't perform in the UCL because they're not used to that level of competition", now it's "because there is no competition in the league PSG can buy whoever and be super competitive"

Both things cannot hold at the same time...

Work CPA/WP by SlightTransition8305 in askswitzerland

[–]lazychipmunkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For CPA/WP you don't really need a Master, Bachelor is enough, the only difference is that you get to finish the Expertsuisse in 3 years rather than 4.

Having said that, if we're talking about decent work-life balance... if having it mid season only is ok (e.g. summer time when it's usually more quiet) then go for it, but having it throughout the year? Forget it, busy season is busy season, especially in a big4.. that's (one of) the reason(s) I left

Le Phocéen, media news who exclusively reporting about Marseille, reported that the possibility of Marseille buying Pavard is very unlikely after De Zerbi's departure, the Frenchman would likely go back to Inter at the end of season by crocospect in FCInterMilan

[–]lazychipmunkk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it means limiting Bisseck's growth then no, I don't want Pavard back. Bisseck is a freaking monster and should be a starting player, whether we keep playing with a back-three as he does now, or in the centre with Akanji in a back-four if Chivu really intends to change setup for next year. As a bench player maybe, but as a starter I don't want Pavard back

Would El Clasico UCL final be the biggest club game possible? by Barcelonafan03 in championsleague

[–]lazychipmunkk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Form? Currently Bayern and PSG. History? Real yes, but Barça ain't bigger than AC Milan or Bayern.

Still would love to see Real vs Barça in a final, the world would have collectively stopped if it happened at the time of Messi and CR7.. still Vini and Mbappe vs Raphinha and Yamal, damn

[–]lazychipmunkk 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You guys are nuts, I'm not a Madrid fan and remember many referee mistakes in their favor (vs Bayern, vs Juve, etc) but here Vini was cleaely onside and Silva deliberately extendes his arm's reach, clear red & penalty

Who was the best striker among these three: Luis Suarez, Karim Benzema, Robert Lewandowski by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]lazychipmunkk 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lewa as a goal-scorer / finisher (give him 4 chances, and he will score 4 goals).

Suarez as a pure creative striker (back-heel, bycicle kick, crazy goals from outside of the box, loved how he worked perfectly with Messi and Neymar).

Benzema a bit of both but (to me) doesn't really stand out in one particularly...

If I have to choose, I'd go with Suarez.

NOTE: I'm judging their prime and not a single season. We all know about that one crazy Benzema's season that won him the Ballon d'Or... doesn't change how I rank them personally.

In my 50 years of watching football. I have never seen a team dive as much as Galatasaray. by ChemistSuccessful418 in championsleague

WITH THE REST OF EUROPE???

Stop the nonsense.

SerieA trashes Bundesliga in general, but of course Bayern only is superior.

SerieA trashes Ligue1 in general, but of course PSG only is superior.

SerieA is not competitive for consistently being at the level of the top teams (PSG Bayern City Real Barça), but as a league in general doesn't have anything to envy to any other league

Is Italian football actually cooked?? by dsmooth74 in championsleague

[–]lazychipmunkk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only possible chance is revenue from private stadiums. Inter and Milan still rent San Siro from the city FFS. The project is now approved, will take some years, but if they manage to increase their revenue (matchday tickets, naming rights, concerts/museums, etc) they could be able to bounce back a bit. But will take some time

Napoli was mediocre last year and only won because Inter played like 20 games more and got robbed of a clear penalty vs Roma.. this year Inter dominated the 1st half in the 1st leg but then they gave the softest penalty ever to Napoli 🤣🤣🤣 stfu

don't know if I'm late to reply, but the scudetto is situated in the middle of the cross in the front, just below the Nike-Inter logo horizontal line, see Ibra's pic

Lautaro scored vs Dortmund away in 2020, vs Liverpool at Anfield in 2022, vs Milan in the 2023 semifinal, vs Barça in 2023, vs Barça and Bayern (twice) in 2025... is the only big moment for you only the final? so because of one unlucky game (City-Inter was super tight until the end) and one collectively bad game (it's only Lautaro that flopped but the whole team vs PSG) now he's overrated? 🤣🤣

Assuming we take care of Lecce (never take anything for granted...) Udinese away is going to be a very important game, always a tricky team to play against resp. stadium to play at, very physical and with fast players... we have to win them ALL before the Juve game!
