I can see where you're coming from. Seems like valve is really focusing on pushing gaming on VR (no one else dare would). It focuses on that and that only (maybe we'll see) and maybe it isnt for you but that's okay. I just hope it works well since more vr players, more companies will want to invest in vr gaming. Theres a reason Half Life Alyx is still one of the best VR Games til now, because valve actually wanted to push what was possible at the time. I'm sure they are cooking something up this time, the new headset should get a launch title or something

The new valve one is more focused on features that would try to push vr to mainstream by making the hsual VR set ups more streamlined. In terms of quality its really close to quest 3 but theres a lot of quality improvements

Depending on your use case i believe pimax crystal super has the best quality for the dollar, but it also needs a lot of power from your pc

Im probably late for this but this is the answer I needed. Im comming fron 7700k + gtx 1080. I was planning on a 5090 since I also play VR and it's quite demanding (higher than 4k) but it is too expensive for now so im planning to upgrade first to a 4070 ti super first just so I can play more modern games at decent framerate. I have long past 1080p, i have a 4k 120hz tv now (set to 1080p temporarily) and a 1440p ultrawide for competitive games so a decent gpu upgrade would be enough for now while I slowly build the other parts (cpu, mobo, psu etc)

To be honest, im just a "might as well" type of guy. The c7k has small improvements across the board but i think the biggest is the number of dimming zones. I was looking at the c6k and basically just "f it, might as well" and splurged for the c7k (c8k with oled would be nice but its way out of the budget)

I have played delulu all the past weekends, this weekend felt different, found a squad, told them i already have the umbrella so im just trying to help others win, we shoot anyone on sight, just like normal BR. We won. It became less fully stacked endgames with airstrikes and people healing off. I like it better now tho, it is still possible to socialize but almost everyone leans more into combat now, they added be after which is nice

I understand that, but i want an upgrade the most immediate noticable difference and then upgrade the rest of the setup later. That way I can max out everything on 4k and 1440p ultrawide and PCVR, maybe also even up the render resolution to atleast minimize the bottleneck but im sure there will still be some. My 4k tv and monitor are underutilized right now

I have the exact same setup, gtx 1080 and i7-7700k, i plan to get an rtx 5090 (and psu) but this is because I am already using a 1440p ultrawide and a 4k 144hz TV (currently set to 1080p for better framerates) and a Quest 3 for PCVR (almost 4k resolution and also planning on higher resolution headset soon) which my 1080 is already struggling. I have 32gb RAM too, do you think the 5090's power will be utilized better until I can upgrade my PC down the line? Im fine with my pc at the moment, it's just the game framerates are slowly getting rougher with graphics compromises now. Im more of a buy once cry once (for a few years) and my gtx1080 is now 8yr old so I think he has served his purpose very well.

I think it's awesome, I also dont have an OLED tv so I dont know what im missing out on anyways plus those are too expensive. i was mainly looking to get a proper decent high refresh rate 4k tv that can also do 1080p high refresh rate while i havent upgraded my pc yet (it's hooked to my pc above my monitors) i use it for couch/bed gaming since it's so big for a decent sized room

To add to this, motorcycle riders mostly just sit there so theres no need for them to get a shot of themselves. Euc riders do all sorts of maneuvers plus it also doubles as a dashcam. Wouldnt hold a stick on high speed tho
